Alabama vs Ohio State - on collision course
I don't see Alabama or Ohio State losing until they play each other in the playoffs. Both are just heads and shoulders above the others. Each is dominant physically on both sides of the line of scrimmage, something that matters most at the end of the season, when everyone is worn down and tired. Late in the year, there's nothing like the ability to run the ball with physical rushers behind powerful offensive lines, and the ability to stuff the same. And Alabama and OSU have that.
It's astonishing to me how little respect Ezekiel Elliot gets. He ran for 200+ yards in both playoff games last year, and hasn't gained less than 100 yards in any game this year, and he's been out of the Heisman conversation all year.
The national title will come down to Alabama's ability to run Henry vs Ohio State and Ohio State's ability to run Elliot vs Alabama.
And about that, on one hand, Alabama was able to totally stuff LSU's Fournette, a more talented back than either, and run Henry down LSU's throat. On the other hand, OSU was able run Elliot down Alabama's throat last year.

RE: Alabama vs Ohio State - on collision course
Ohio St still has potentially 3 tough games left with Mich I believe having the best chance for an upset. But the Mich defense has got exposed the last couple weeks after looking awesome earlier in the season. I would not write off Mich St either even though they don't seem as good as the last 2 years. Dantonio always seems to have a way to pull out a big play that wins big games.
Bama is looking good but they are still the team that lost to Ole Miss, a loss that is looking worse each week.
with all that I just wrote, I would also agree Oh St and Bama are still the favorites to win out in their conferences.

I had hope for Michigan as well, but when you give up 230 yards to an Indiana rusher, well, I don't have any hope they can stop Elliot.
And sure, the Ole Miss loss looks worse and worse now, but on the other hand, Alabama looks better and better. The last two weeks, they've looked like a 2009 - 2012 Alabama team, physically invincible.
I see both rolling, but what do I know?
