My main gripe is that I think cokley and Williams should be playing more. I also don't want coach to stick to the starters or giving heavy minutes to last years stars just because that worked last year. That is last year now, there's been three games In a row this year where we haven't come out of the gate fast.

Do you guys really think Cokely could play at the level he is playing, if he was out there 35 minutes?

Good grief!

Coaches always experiment with the lineups early in the season before settling down to a smaller rotation. Let coach coach.

I was also hoping that brown didn't go the way of the previous senior slump players under Haase..

Faz had a solid senior season, just throwing that out there because nobody wants to acknowledge it. If you can't see what happened to swing and Rucker, the I really don't know how to explain those guys. CJ was a weird situation. It was evident very early that he didn't need to be the number one on a team, but his fall off was crazy.

Brown is averaging 6.5, 6 assists, and 2.5 rebounds right now. He is shooting 33% from 3. It isn't like he is out there doing nothing. He also hit two of the biggest shots for us this year. He is playing pretty well in my opinion, his shot just isn't falling right now.

This isn't a mike Anderson coached team. Do you really think a 19-20 year old kid doesn't have the stamina to play 30-35 minutes a game at a high level, especially considering all the media time outs and stoppages in play..

I haven't checked the box scores, but I seem to remember Brown being streaky last year. He finished last year on an unbelievable hot streak, but that hasn't carried over to the new season. I feel certain he will get hot again, and I agree he is helping out in other ways besides scoring.

I think Cokley should replace Lee in the starting lineup to 1) start games faster, and 2) light a fire under Lee. Keep Rob out there for most of the game and let Dirk be the energy guy off the bench.

Haase will have to make decisions about alot soon. Also about this time in the Davis era he was still hot. This is the first year Haase hasn't made a change in the returning starters I think. Heck we finished 20-16 and Haase about eight games over 500. If some think last year will work this year that's poor prep/management.

Faz really was great IMHO. If Tosin averaged around 8-10 in points the next few years he will be right up there. We have to get he going few post ups, clean ups ,and rim runs in transition. Especially when smaller guys are on him.

Swing and Rucker had position changes, I thought HaHa would've made on by now guess that was the young Haase. Cj was a second or third option at best, I think getting benched hurt him and HaHa flashing potential.

Rob has to pick his spot better and shot selection more 16 footers.

Keep in mind CJ started his family in the middle of basketball season. I imagine basketball was not his top priority.

I'm in favor of starting Cokley. Hell, I'm in favor of just switching the starting line up to see if we can get off to better starts to begin halves. My ideal lineup is Norton, Williams, Brown, Lee, and Cokley.

However, it doesn't matter who starts as long as the right guys get the right minutes. Cokley needs to play 25-28 a game on average. Dirk should get 20 or so. Although it appears Dirk is on a short leash.

It really doesn't make sense to have our big three be the backcourt especially with the way its shooting and defending minutes or shots.

That would be my preferred lineup as well. Baxter and Mehinti haven't played badly, but I think the starters and heavy minute guys need an injection of firepower..

Haase has said since late summer that Dirk's defense is his weak point. I honestly haven't paid much attention to what he's done defensively, but I know there are things Haase wants to do on offense that build on the foundation set last season. Hopefully everyone will get on the same page at some point.

Just want to throw a different statistic out there for you:

Total attendance: 4833
Student attendance: 1447
30% of the fans at the game last night were students

I'm pretty happy with that, though I wish there were more non-students there.

That is outstanding. We need to make sure the students keep coming. The rest will take care of itself over time.
