7 is better. To Dragons point there are a lot of people not using their seats that if they would just give them away people would go.

I understand the kid ordeal. I'm on a brood of grandkids now. Been there done that. We have many un used seats in Bartow and that needs to stop. Give your tickets to a good hine if you can't go.

We bit the bullet and took our 2 and 5 year old girls to the game, knowing they'd be cranky today. Just had to leave at halftime. They had a great time though and are excited to go back.

They came to play and made shots. They didn't have too many wide open looks. I can't fault our guys there. The miss free throws and turnovers that bugged me the most.

Truth!

I really liked our perimeter defense last night. There was a lot of switching and double teaming the dribbler with the ball, even with our bigs coming out to help. ASU wasn't going to beat us inside. I believe the game plan was to stop their quick guards.

Agreed. Coach talked about Dirk after the game. He said Dirk has a huge upside, but still needs to work on some defense issues and perhaps team ball.

Yeah the backcourt on the southside has been a problem for years now.

Their guards certainly appeared to be better scorers, but they took a heck of a lot more shots than our guards. ASU's game is centered around their guards. Right now, UAB's game is centered around Chris Cokley.

I thought Denzell Watts played some good defense last night, especially when he came in to guard the guy running circles around Nick Norton. However, Nick can beat you other ways, as he did several times last night.

I'm sure that someone has mentioned the students and how they brought it last night. Kudos to each and every one of them. Okay, maybe not so much to knucklehead in the front row who kept yelling during our free throws. 05-nono

I just think it's painfully obvious Dirk should start. I would use Baxter in a Rob Williams role off the bench instead of Williams playing a JaKorie Tyler role. Could help with the slow start. Our bench has out scored our starters again and right now three guys kinda hold the fort in bench points.

As for the season ticket holders or whoever owns the tickets behind the team benches. If you are not going to come to the games and just want to donate money give the tickets away. It's really annoying UAB basketball games are that empty.

Then UAB can stop scheduling Monday night games with (seemingly) no-name opponents.

It is what it is. A Monday night game at 8pm is going to yield this sort of attendance. I couldn't go tonight and I've rarely missed a home game since I moved to Birmingham in 2006.

I don't know what the official attendance was but I didn't think it was a bad crowd for a Monday. That said, it really hasn't mattered what day UAB plays because our attendance has been dismal. I really believe UAB needs to consider (if feasible) luxury boxes for Bartow and reduce seating capacity to around 6,000.

It's in the works, but I don't think it'll reduce capacity that much.
