I just don t want a year that turns fans off. Last year we had a resurgence in interest in basketball. We desperately need to at least be in top half of the league this year to maintain interest.

We'll save this feeling for that day about 10 years from now when Franchione retires for you...

So, I double checked on this game. Our games with Jackson State, Savannah State, Oregon, and Baylor are part of a preseason tournament called the Global Sports Shootout. It guaranteed each team 4 games with at least one home game. We're hosting Jackson State but playing at Savannah for their one home game.

Fran sounds this year like Brady sounded last year so maybe one more is all you have...

Big difference between the two is that we all knew there was no way Terry Mohajir would let him coach past this season, once his contract was up, he was out.

Larry Teis just recently reupped Fran for another two seasons, and hasn't exactly done a bunch of things to inspire confidence in the San Marcos faithful of late.

We did that one year with Cincy, NC Central (best MEAC team) and a couple others. At least our MEAC road games were local.

Just based on what I've seen so far, officiating is going to turn ALL the fans off.

Considering we lost 80% of our offense and have zero seniors, I was really proud of how the team stayed with Ole'Miss last night.

Admin won't pay to bring teams in for guarantee's because the program is in such bad shape. This is what we are relegated too, home and homes with Savannah State and Jackson State.

Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please don't lose.

I think you'll see plenty of games that way this year and it's not supposed to stop. They want all hand checks or physical play away from the basket stopped so good luck guarding anyone on the perimeter.

Makes sense, and I certainly don't think we're "beyond" ending up in a situation like that.

The sad thing is that this isn't the first time in the last few years we've been to Savannah State, we did a home and home with them earlier in Brady's tenure.

Yes, but there was always a chance we could have won the tourney in some short of major shock and gotten him extended.
