RE: CAA basketball - 2015-2016 season
CofC was invited by all three. Felt like our players needed a break more than games in those tourneys. Our main concern is all of our players are healthy going into next season.

Considering the youth of the c of c squad, I'd agree with the "no go" decision. With a senior laden team I could understand going as a reward for the seniors.
Despite the decision - you guys will be a very tough out next year (not that you weren't this year).

Really? I'd argue it would be a great building experience for a young team. In this situation though given the injuries i get it.

True. But a lot depends on the shape or condition of the team at year's end. That's something only the players & coaching staff can answer to.

Always an iffy decision
ODU fans credit their CIT run in 2009 in helping their 2010 team
But then you have an ECU team in 2013 that won the CIT which did nothing to help the 2014 team.
Really only 2 reasons to play these things
1. To reward seniors with additional games
2. To prepare a young team for a tournament run next year.
If neither of these things apply then its just not worth the money as a fiscally responsible administration.

They made a great rally, thought they were going to get OT.
