WBB Rice vs Kentucky
If you are trying to find the video of the women's game you need to follow the link in the pregame story on riceowls.com The game is on the SEC+ network and does not show up in the listing for ESPN3 or the WatchESPN app.

If you follow the link you will get a page that says watch in the watchespn app click yes and it will load the video.

So far good D by the Owls.

Just the score is unbelievably ugly. We may not get to 10 points. Not the way for a new coach to get started.

The women are beginning to make a few shots now but it was tough sledding offensively against the #18 Wildcats. Like MBB last year the women are concentrating so much on D their offensive game is suffering. Hopefully by mid year we will see the same change we saw with the men. 7 Freshman are playing for Coach Langley. The commentators are impressed by the effort from the Owls.

At the half 34-16. Owls shooting just 24% against the bigger Cats. The live stats are slow but the Owls did produce some good defensive work in the half.

The women have 3 steals, 1 block, and have forced 13 turnovers. Rebounds are 19-16 KU but the Owls own 1 more offensive board than the Cats 7-6.

RE: WBB Rice vs Kentucky
A while back Coach Langley told me her best player was a transfer from Arizona State who has to sit out this year. I think this will be a rebuilding season, but I'm anxious to see how much we improve as the season goes on.

I'm anxious as well. Let's be honest - she inherited a program that has been down for years. For the first time in a long time I'm excited to go see our women play. I think I'll try to make the upcoming Texas game.

Jessica Kuster was fun to watch, but there is a great breath of fresh air with renewed optimism.

Just like football, the program was run down to almost nothing until Langley was hired. Rice seem to always wait one year to late of hiring a new coach.
