UAB played Texas Christian tough on Saturday before losing 27-24. But, they lost their QB Darrell Hackney. With him, UAB had almost no shot against us. Without him, we should have no problem blowing them out.

Georgia: 38

UAB: 6

31-3

Late field goal by UAB to avoid shutout.

And yet another non-TV game for us UGA fans. Maybe we'll quit scheduling these sh*t games so we can at least be on TV.

National champions are made with a little luck. See Ohio State. Luck is what you make of it, but I hardly see where we won by being lucky Saturday.

We won because we have the #1 defense in the nation.

C'mon....stop being proud and admit that UGA had some luck with that game. It is either that or UGA's team under estimated UAB (which should be considered ignorance among the coaching staff). 05-nono

But icerocc, you still haven't indicated why you think UGA was lucky Saturday. Did you listen to the game? I listened to the entire game and I cannot isolate one play or series of plays where we were lucky. We won because our defense kept UAB out of scoring position in the 4th quarter. There were no penalites that negated UAB TDs and there were no dropped TD passes or missed FGs by UAB. As a matter of fact, I would go so far to say that UAB was lucky that the game wasn't 30-13 since UGA DID drop two TD passes during the game.

Now, please tell us all how UGA was lucky.

Ms. Nole...you are right, it did hurt us in the polls. It is the only thing you have ever been right about! 04-bow Hopefully we will find an offensive line before we play the Gators this weekend!

icerocc, I gotta side with Phonetic UGA on this one...there was no luck involved. There was no offense either. It was a tough game and it shouldn't have been. I know the 'cocks beat UAB 42-10, but Carolina always beats non-conference opponents badly. It's the conference teams they have trouble with year after year.

I am not looking forward to having to play the Gators with Charlie Strong running the defense...he definitely has the Dawgs' number! But hopefully our offense will be strong and rested after 2 weeks off! :D

That resides in Norman, Oklahoma... with one not far behind in Atlanta, Georgia.

It hurt you in the BCS polls... just like I told a couple of Georgia fans on Saturday night on the Georgia Tech board... FSU is #3 this week, USC is #4 with Georgia coming in 5th... ouch.

Swagger, where on earth do you come up with this crap? Here are the top ten defenses in the nation right now in both total and scoring:

Total Defense Thru: 10/25/03
1 Georgia
2 Ohio St.
3 Nebraska
4 LSU
5 Oklahoma
6 Purdue
7 Michigan
8 Florida St.
9 Iowa
10 Miami (Fla.)
GT is 21st

Scoring Defense Thru: 10/25/03
1 LSU
2 Nebraska
3 Georgia
4 Florida St.
5 Maryland
6 Ohio St.
7 Iowa
8 Auburn
9 Oklahoma
10 Miami (Fla.)
GT is 13th (respectable imho)
