RE: How many Marshall-MTSU post-mortem threads do we need?
We've had one home game in the last two years where it wasn't raining. Worst stretch of luck with weather I can remember. Funny thing is that we had rain only 2 of 21 days and both of the rain days were game days.
Thursday night games should really boost student attendance since a lot of kids cut out and go home on weekends. I love Thursday night games plus they don't compete with youth sports.
And to be fair, there are 128 FBS teams. You are 111th in attendance and would probably be 112th if Charlotte had a bigger stadium. You have the best, or second best, team in the conference yet you are 9th in attendance in the conference. If people won't come see this year's team, when will they come? You guys need to work on your marketing, as do we all to varying levels.

RE: How many Marshall-MTSU post-mortem threads do we need?
So now Marshall fans are using excuses? And all this time some of you loud mouth Marshall fans said...there are no excuses.
THERE ARE NO EXCUSES FOR THE BELOW and no way almost 19,000 people showed up and took a seat in the below game.
In a game Marshall was 11-0 and if you win you go to the best bowl your school has ever played in and most likely ever will. Not only that it's SR DAY....
NO EXCUSES ARE ALLOWED...isn't that what Marshall fans said?

Any time CUSA teams try to put others down about attendance, all I can do is laugh. Congrats for being the tallest midget. Nobody cares.
I never understood why people put so much emphasis on attendance and fan sizes. Are we NCAA, NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, etc.. fans or are we fans of the National Attendance League?
If we're all fans of the game, wouldn't we want to see the game grow? Wouldn't we want more fans? Wouldn't we want to help others that are struggling so they could fully enjoy what some take for granted? Or are we just trying try to compare who has the biggest dingaling at a pig party?

RE: How many Marshall-MTSU post-mortem threads do we need?
Always thought it was funny to talk down to people about their attendance on message boards, the place where, no matter the fanbase, the posters are generally the ones attending the games.
We ***** about our lackluster attendance and alumni who wear orange enough on our own board, I'm sorry if I'm not terribly concerned with what some Marshall fan thinks of our crowds.
Don't apologize or make excuses for those not showing up in your own fanbase, just ignore the chumps from other fanbases casting the stones.
