RE: Game Day: Miami
Thirty minutes late, but why does a team with a good offense and a terrible defense DEFER?

If I were a HC, I want the ball and try to get a 7 - 0 lead.

I do not want to fall behind 7 - 0 if my defense can't stop them...

I've never seen a defense take so many awful angles. So frustrating. It's like they just started playing football.

It doesn't matter how fast or big you are...when you are so vastly out of position, you'll be exposed.

McCaslin better get canned. Worst defense I've ever seen in D1.

EMU's OL needs to get better. QBs not getting any time.

Agree with all that, Sam. No excuse for letting those big gains on a sweep like that. They haven't gotten any better 10 games into the season.

I hope we start accepting DC resumes by the end of the week.

I wonder if EMU has to go into a zone defense as they aren't getting help from the DBs?

Offensive line is struggling. Shooting ourselves in the foot with mental mistakes. Very disappointing start.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did we just burn a redshirt for Jaylen Picket?

According to the press release, he's played in every game so far. Probably the first time I've seen him on defense though. Made a nice play.

After that Bell 3-and-out, are you sure?

We really need to find a NEW QB. Roback a turnover machine, hasn't improved one bit. Bell can't throw and has a glass jaw.

Maybe go Juco route there as well, and hope Pensyl or the incoming freshman kid can develop in a year or 2.

I heard on the pre-game we're minus both starters on the left side of the OL. That's tough to be minus both the LT and LG.

I'd let all the young guys play. The young corners/safeties can't be any worse than Tillman and Giraldo.

I'm not going to belabor the point or beat a dead horse, but I've never been so embarrassed for the program. Down 21-0 to a terrible Miami team; Creighton may have lost his team, they aren't playing for him.

I've seen enough. Creighton is not the answer. You can't lost to this kind of Miami team in this fashion.

Dear Friends,
What a waste. I don't want to hear from Coach Creighton, that these players never give up. They have. How do you fall behind a team with one win, and by three touchdowns?

Can't argue with that. It's hard to get fired up when you get blown out every game. This isn't the same team that played against Wyoming or Ball State, or even LSU.

Creighton's seat should be pretty hot next season. We have not really improved.

Roback is laughable at this point. 3rd time in a row he scrambles out of the pocket for no reason, and creates his own sack.

Just put Vann in the shotgun the rest of the game and run the wildcat.
