I remember a couch or two that met its demise when we won the FF game.

I didn't get into ODU basketball until I was a student... But I remember going to every home game my freshman and sophomore year (mens and womens) and consider it an honor to watch Coach Wendy in person

Definitely remember the roller coaster of emotions, thinking we had lost, then pulling it out, and Mike Patrick's excited voice at the end. Unfortunately, the ladies had too little left in the tank for Tennessee.

To make matters worse, we had beaten Tennessee earlier that year.

I was at that game at the Field House in 97
Being down by 10 at half and coming back to win. The FH was packed beyond capacity. You want to talk about LOUD! Wow what a game!

If memory serves me correctly, that was the last time ODU has beaten the Lady Vols. I read a bio of Pat Summitt, who said revenge was definitely a factor in the championship game.

Those are nice memories. But it has been seven years since ODU women's basketball has won a conference title.

42nd street was crazy that night...very similar to St Patrick's Day in 95!

I was at that game. I got tickets from then VP Broadrick's son who was a student of mine at Hickory High School. I took the bus trip to Cincy and it was a blast weekend.
There was a ton of Stanford fans at that game. ODU was represented as well.

I'll have to watch that later. I covered those games for the Mace & Crown. Such an awesome trip.

That game created my hatred of the song Rocky Top.

and then Pat Summit's husband made that comment about Coach Larry being "ugly" what a complete douchebag.

That year was also the last time we beat UCONN...I have the game ball from that win! I should somehow send it to Coach Larry.

That was a fun game but it was not the same season. It was in the 1998/1999 season. For some reason I keep these in my checkbook cover.

I was at the game too. Rode the chartered bus. That was a great trip!
