UTSA, what a fun game and unfortunate that your QB, who played great, lost his composure on the final drive. This game will never make "ESPN classics", but was important for our young team to compete - which we have not at times this year.
Hoping that the two most successful startups can meet again next year with higher stakes on the line. Good luck the rest of the way!
P.S. Can we borrow your Tight End...what a beast.

Great game Runners. I really didn't think the Monarchs were going to be able to hold on there at the end.

I don't mean to direct my anger at you and I apologize in advance if it comes off that way...but are you kidding when you say our QB lost his composure? It was 3rd and 1, at like the ODU 5 yd line, with about 30 secs left. Our joke of an OC had two downs to pick up a first down then spike the ball. Instead he calls two heaves into the endzone, a play that hasn't been very effective all season long. He's an incompetent joke and unfit to be an FBS OC.

We don't automatically have a good future guaranteed just because we are young. I don't know how you guys feel at ODU, but here we aren't going to be $hit until coaching changes are made.

I agree and the drive before. That was some serious ineptness by the UTSA staff. The coaches lost that one for UTSA. It is time for Coker to retire. The boos were loud at the end.

Glad 'Ol Dirty pulled this one off! Looks like UTSA has some coaching issues, and ODU has our ubiquitous problems with special teams (punting and kicking specifically).....

No worries at all. After reading your message boards for a few minutes, I better understand that the plays came in from the sidelines, vice some QB freedom to alter the play at the line. I agree completely that the calls were "odd" considering how you were successful for the majority of the game, and particularly on a short 4th and 1 that held the game in the balance. Sturm did choke a bit on the slide/fall on the previous 4th down stop, but not on the final UTSA drive. Hopefully you guys get some stability and direction, as I kind of like having our squads want to outdo one another from a FBS football startup perspective (good for us and the league). I think of Ga State and their famous startup coach, and they are still spinning in the Atlanta mud, trying to find an identity.

Let not forget the QB was short of a first down, he clearly should have had.
