RE: Anyone use Uber
That first one is kinda your own fault for being beyond drunk. You are lucky to be alive and lucky you took an uber. You wouldn't have seen that money again had you taken a regular cab.

Chill.... I was drunk but guy that drove me turned out to be some kid that knew me back from high school. We got talking and next thing you know - boom I am 45 miles away from home.
I had the right location on the app so he knew what he was doing. His job is to get me to the location on the map. He didn't do his job and I got my money back. Pretty simple in my opinion. I know plenty of other people with similar experiences. Any geek of the street can be an Uber driver. Like many other people said it on here - if I was a girl I would never take Uber alone.

That's why I'm saying you were lucky you were in an Uber, Uber tracks all that chit unless you are scared like Charm City stated earlier in the thread. Because Uber tracked the route you were able to prove it was a poor route decision by the driver. A normal cab wouldn't have that info.

Yup, unfortunately you do have to trade some of that privacy in. I'm in IT so I know a lot of people that are crazy about this stuff. On many occasions I agree with them but sometimes too much of it makes you come off a little paranoid.
I will say this though. In big cities cab drivers can get you from point A to point B much more quicker. During rush hour Uber people take the route that the GPS tells them too which is always the route that everyone else is taking. Cab drivers know all the back ways and less traveled roads.
Overall I still think I will continue to favor Uber over regular cabs unless the pricing becomes more even. In cities like Chicago the lawmakers are already trying to make that happen.

Yeah Uber drivers go by the GPS but I always tell them the route I want them to take.

Cabs I took in San Francisco and Seattle did just that. Tracked and reported it to my app.

Those are "tech" cities though. I don't think Big Daddy taxi in Kalamazoo offers that.

Denver does too.
I'm sure you're right about the horse and buggy's with the triangle on them doubling and taxi's in Kzoo though.
