Game Day Management
So on a Tuesday night, not a sell out. Is it acceptable to have to wait in line for 20 minutes to get a pop and a water? Who the hell is in charge? Why not have areas broken up for just pop or just food. The entire game day management of the glass bowl and Savage is a joke. Awful. I would rather stay home and watch these games on ESPN3 from now on.

They had like two gates open to get out on the nw corner at the end of the game last night. Created quite the bottleneck.

The beer line was long also. If you wanted a beer expect to miss half a quarter. There are no tvs or radio broadcast in the concourse like most places have. They ran out of BUDLIGHT on a TUESDAY... Like I said who the hell is in charge? They need to be FIRED!

Don't think it is on the East Side, but of course us poor folks who sit over there don't matter.

I'm on the west side, so that's all I have to go off of.

They didn't have that concession grill open at the south end the other night. I actually went into the stadium early just so I could get the sandwich of the week before the line for this particular concession accumulated as it has during the games. And it wasn't even there. Easily the biggest disappointment of the night until the score went final.

Same for me! And, there used to be a guy selling nice framed and autographed pictures of UT sporting events and Rockets, such as Eric Page & Naama Shafir. After looking at them a couple games I decided I was going to buy a couple at Homecoming...and he wasn't there, and hasn't been since. That was also disappointing.

Come out to Waterville. He has a store- Hall of Framers on Third Street. He was at hoops games a few times last year.

They put volunteers in the concession stands to make money and are not operated by real "staff"

Point?

Isn't this what is done at all the other local sports facilities? I don't think who is interacting with the customers is a problem so much as the set-up delays processing requests and food isn't freshly warmed.

They really should be actively encouraging, promoting and assisting entrepreneurs like the SE corner guy who can no longer keep up with demand. University should be supplying the grills and other infrastructure. As these entrepreneurs fail or succeed, they will be able to branch to their own businesses outside the University. A great incubator. Might be learning opportunities for the Business college inside the stadium/savage, with a small "mall" of sports targeted businesses.
