He ruptured his achilles, more than likely his career is over.

No.

No.

It's possible he may come back in 8-16 months, but he better work on being a pocket passer if he wants to give football a go.

I think many have returned to normal physical activity after this injury, and it can happen as early as 6 months if properly motivated and with good physical therapy personnell

Well, besides the inside info I got (I knew it was fully ruptured a few hours after the game) that hare is probably done for his time at NIU. A fully ruptured achilles is an extremely difficult injury to come back from and it is nearly impossible to ever return to the same level you were at. It was a torn achilles that would have been better, but a fully ruptured one is a much different animal. I wish him the best, but I doubt we ever see him in the cardinal and black again.

Well, he MIGHT be back next season, but he certainly won't be playing in the first few games. Also, he probably won't be back next season.

It just depends how motivated the treatment is

Thanks Doogie Dog North but I will wait before I buy into your prognosis.

The treatment is what it is, and even if he is the most motivated player on earth it's a VERY TOUGH injury to come back from. It's also one that is easily re-injured.

That is very unfortunate for him. Hopefully he can make a full recovery and once again be on the field playing for his Huskies!

I really thought Hare was developing into a very good passing QB. He has been fun to watch and i was proud of his performances these past two seasons.

We're going to learn a lot about who's ready to play QB in the next 8 months. For some reason I just don't have any confidence in Maddie, we'll see who steps up. Maybe Graham will shock us all and be a total stud.

He has at least three more games to shine.
WMU game might be his toughest test?

WMU will be the toughest game, no doubt about that. But we will be home so that will help. My biggest fear is getting by Buffalo and WMU and having a let down game vs ohio. But we are the better team in all three of our last games, so we'll see what happens.

Both Buffalo and Ohio should be 7 win teams this year.
WMU has 6 wins and faces BGSU, NIU and Toledo.

P.S. If CMU beats Toledo in five days they just need to beat Kent State and EMU to earn a possible trip to Detroit.

Yep if CMU beats Toledo the West race is over
