RE: TransCanada Requests Suspension of Keystone XL Pipeline
Obama officially rejected Keystone today...
Seems like a retaliatory move.

Yup Obama and the dems successfully choked out the pipeline project. Now when an oil train derails, burns, and dumps it's cargo in a near by stream it's at least we can comfort ourselves with good intentions.

RE: TransCanada Requests Suspension of Keystone XL Pipeline
Yea, good move.

So let's instead sit and watch billions upon billions of barrels of oil go elsewhere (cause it's gonna go somewhere) where they really don't give a schit about the environment and refine it there, belching the by products into the earths atmosphere.

This is about as stupid a move, and as naked a sop to the enviro-owners of the dim party as one could imagine.

Why do you hate clean water and the environment?

Don't expect that level of thoughtfulness or honesty from the anti pipeline people. A pipeline leak is (1) more preventable (2) more treatable and (3) less environmentally dangerous than an oil train fire.

That's a pretty big loss for the country.

But, big liberal donors whose pocket books are opposed to oil and gas will be thrilled!

Help. So much safer to transport via rail. Smh

Yea, but who owns the trains? I'd look there, too.

The Canadian company should build their own march to the sea and cut other energy sources to the USA. Let the bastards in DC hear that this decision will not be a success for them

Tom Steyer is an azzhole of the lowest magnitude. Prior to developing this "Green" thing, his hedge fund owned lots of energy stocks. He's a hypocrite of note.

It's a shame the PG&E gas line explosion didn't catch him up in their explosive problem. He should be TOAST or ROAST.... take your pick.

You all do realize that this pipeline doesn't actually benefit the US -- at all? The oil isn't even going to us, it's not ours, and it's dirty oil to top it all off. Y'all really REALLY want to help CANADA's economy, not our own. It's beyond belief LOL

was it going to be refined in the US... Are those not jobs?

was it going to be loaded into takers on the gulf coast... Are those not jobs?

do Canadians not by and large live just across our border and spend money in the US?

How does *NOT* doing this help our economy?

Right, dirty oil. Who better equipped and more careful in refining stuff like that than us? And it WILL be going somewhere, rest assured., likely China.

So good job, myopic enviro-kooks, you've just managed to pollute the planet far worse.

The fact that people were able to sell that line to America is a testament to how willfully ignorant many are.

It's akin to saying that we do not rotate around the sun. It's ludicrous.

Makes you wonder how some people can be so dependent on the Democrats' talking points. Seriously, Ole Blue's post sounds like it was written by a 15 year old.

Once again Obammy bent over, grabbed his ankles and took a big one from Tom Steyer ( I'll stipulate that I can't find any substantiating link before the Toms ask for one).

And the Nebraska land owners had something to say about it too.

Yet the Department of State approved the application after an exhaustive review process and EPA didn't object.

In reality, the decision to not approve the project was made by Tom Steyer, proud owner of the Democratic Party.

Can't tell you how much I detest that SOB. You are absolutely correct on both points of your post.

If you have any dim friends, tell them. If you don't have dim friends, I don't, tell them too if any will listen.

I have absolutely no clue whatsoever who Tom Steyer is...and after googling him...I still have no idea who Tom Steyer is.
