11/2 - Rank the B1G
1) OSU - Will be interesting to see if the Barrett's fiasco will have any impact on the team. I doubt it will slow them down vs. Minnesota.
2) Iowa - Still going to go undefeated into the CCG.
3) MSU - A weak #3, as they have had trouble making statements vs. anyone this year. However, they will likely be undefeated going into the OSU game.
4) Michigan - OSU should be more worried about these guys than MSU.
5) Wisconsin - Surprised they aren't ranked after they dominated Rutgers last week.
------
6) PSU - 7-2, but there's a decent shot that they've won their last regular season game of the year...
7) Northwestern - ...depending on how these guys play next week.
8) Illinois - Bowl hopes are still alive even though their season has slowed down.
9) Minnesota - Emotional and hard fought game vs. the Wolverines. The path to a bowl remains challenging with OSU, Iowa, and Wisconsin on the schedule.
------
10) Purdue - Huge win vs. Nebraska rockets these guys out of the cellar for the week.
11) Nebraska - The season is lost. Will be interesting to see if the team mails it in from here on out.
12) Maryland - I have them beating #13 and #14 to finish the season 4-8.
13) Indiana - Still have an outside shot at 6 wins with games vs. MD and Purdue still on the schedule.
14) Rutgers - Solidly in the B1G cellar. Kyle Flood's seat starting to heat up, fast. There's a great chance that Rutgers starting offense will not score a TD for a third game in a row with Michigan up next.

RE: 11/2 - Rank the B1G
1. (1) Ohio State: Finally have things settled and now JT out next week.
2. (2) Michigan State:
3. (3) Iowa: Continuing to take care of business.
4. (4) Michigan: Hard game vs. a very emotion Minnesota. Somehow things worked out. Still think I'd probably take them over Michigan State in a rematch, but less sure than I was.
5. (5) Northwestern: Two weeks ago, I was pretty sure the Wildcats were going to be dropping my rankings pretty far. I think they probably will drop a little still, but not to the extent I thought then and with their wins, I'm keeping them ahead of Wisconsin for the moment even though I expect Wisconsin to beat them.
6. (6) Wisconsin: Loss to Iowa was a killer. Too bad that game was so early in the year.
7. (8) Penn State: From this ranking perspective, this is a big week for Penn State vs. Northwestern. I don't know exactly where they'll go with a win, but it would be above Northwestern at least and it is the last game vs. a team in the western division. Given so few games :( that makes it harder to compare.
8. (10) Minnesota: Put their heart and soul in that game. Wish they'd done better. I've been very unsure on Minnesota this year and this reminded me why they were up higher to begin with.
9. (7) Illinois: Good start has quickly soured. If not for the Nebraska win, they'd be further down.
10. (9) Nebraska: I went in expecting to drop Nebraska way back down this week (possibly to the very bottom), but they still have the win at Minnesota and most their losses are close.
11. (14). Purdue: This might be an over-reaction to last week, but nice not to see them in the cellar.
12. (11) Maryland: Looked somewhat better 2nd half of the year, but no conference wins. They don't play Indiana and Rutgers till the end of the year and that's where the bottom of the east order gets settled out.
13. (12) Rutgers: The only reason they are above Indiana is they already beat Indiana. I would take the Hoosiers in a rematch.
14 (13). Indiana: I think they are good enough to get bowl eligible, but game vs. Rutgers really cost them.

RE: 11/2 - Rank the B1G
It is hard to argue with the rankings. Both are pretty similar. I'll throw in my opinion on Iowa vs MSU. I'd place them 2nd for two reasons. First, the Iowa team I saw in the 1st half of the Iowa/UMD game is the real team and not the one that came out in the 2nd half (they really let off the gas). Second, I'm more impressed with the wins Iowa has had vs the ones MSU has had.

As for the bottom of the rankings…OH LOOK! It's the B1G East. Indiana, Rutgers and Maryland. Ugh. Indiana (had a bye) needs to be able to seal the deal in the 4th. Maryland needs to run the ball/short pass/screen pass 95% of the time. SERIOUSLY. STOP. THROWING. THE. BALL. Rutgers, I didn't get to watch so I can't really comment. But I think I have heard about issues in the secondary. I know this is a weekly thing but projecting out. I honestly can't see UMD finishing higher than 13. They have Wisonsin, @MSU, Indiana and @ Rutgers. They could win hosting Indiana but I'm am not sure they can score enough to keep it close until the 4th. As for Rutgers, I've seen some of the games this season and I think they will probably beat Maryland. Add in that it is at their places, just don't see it happening.

And then just pick the other 5 schools out of a hat. They should probably make a coaching change.
