App State goes down
There are now only six G5 teams with 0 or 1 loss, and four of them are in the American.

Just waiting on Toledo and Marshall to pick up their second L:

Toledo at Bowling Green 11/17
Marshall at Western Ky 11/27

I think it is obvious that the AAC is the big dog of the G5. Your league just needs to avoid cannibalizing the top 2-3 teams to create a solid pecking order.

Yep, no doubt the AAC is good this year.

RE: App State goes down
The comparison between 2015 AAC and the 2008 or 2009 MWC (when Utah, TCU, and BYU were all ranked) is a good one.

But the MWC didn't have much depth. The 4th best MWC team in those years, Air Force, was decent but lost to Navy both years. The bottom 5/9ths of the league had a few good OOC wins but overall was stinky (like Wyoming in 2008, who beat Tennessee, but then only beat NDSU by 3 & lost to Bowling Green by 4 touchdowns at home).

The current AAC has much more depth. Navy is nearly ranked. Cincinnati and ECU are both about where Air Force was. And UConn, USF, and Tulsa are easily better than the bottom half of the MWC was in 08 & 09.

Record against MAC/WAC/Sun Belt/C-USA:
2008 MWC: 11-5
2009 MWC: 11-6
2015 AAC: 8-1 (plus 2-0 against the MWC)

Was 2008 or 2009 that the WAC had 3 in the top 25 as well with Hawaii, UNR and Boise State and Fresno State was also nearby outside of the top 25?
