press release from 2013
http://awfulannouncing.com/2013/cbs-sports-network-lands-rights-to-american-athletic-conference.html

Something makes me think that they would not write that paragraph today.

Quote:ESPN simply doesn't have the real estate, nor the desire to air Houston vs Temple football. CBS Sports Network does. It's a deal that makes sense for both parties. ESPN gets to move the chess pieces the way they want and CBS receives more live sports inventory.

RE: press release from 2013
In early 2013, our conference was the dead in the water smoldering hulk of the old Big East that had endured a fierce pounding from realignment in late 2012 and early 2013. Its amazing how quickly the schools patched up that old hulk. We won a Fiesta Bowl and a basketball national championship. We had a pretty lack luster 2014, but for 2015, the conference has taken a quantum leap forward in depth and quality. I like how 2015 is looking so far, hopefully basketball takes a similar step forward in improving quality depth.
