RE: AUBURN BASKETBALL INJURIES??
Right now they're down to 4 guards, one of which wasn't expected to play much and another who is a walk-on.

You can bet your @ss Pearl will start feeding the media all sorts of coach speak if the injuries and Purifoy's status stay the same come time for our game.

After they lose: "I'm just so proud of these young men who fought hard tonight undermanned. They showed real heart especially with so many of their leaders not on the floor."

Pregame: "We're gonna go out there and give it our all. We'll have some kids who may not get a lot of time gain some valuable experience."

to me, those sound like pretty legitimate things to say

I really don't care what Pearl says, as long as everybody walks out of that gym knowing who the better team was.

RE: AUBURN BASKETBALL INJURIES??
Just a little info on their recruiting, they have one open scholarship to fill ( was Alex Hicks scholarship before he committed to Troy in 2015) and they're looking at a big to bring in two guards and two bigs for 2016. Now that leaves them three for 2017 with two being claimed by Wiley and Mitchell and John Petty has been a top target.

Also now this all could change with the verdict on Reed and Purifoy for and extra scholarship or two.

RE: AUBURN BASKETBALL INJURIES??
The NCAA rules are that teams can either play two exhibitions or they can choose to play one exhibition and one secret-scrimmage game,

By the way, as far as secret scrimmages go, apparently they are played in different formats and are not necessarily a 40 minute game. I heard Josh Pastner on the radio today discussing his scrimmage against Georgia Tech, which apparently took place in Nashville rather than Birmingham. He said that both teams played a total of 7 quarters and each quarter was treated separate from the other quarters. One quarter both teams would work on end of the game plays, while they might work on something different in other quarters. Memphis fans are saying they heard they lost the scrimmage to Georgia Tech, but I don't know how you can say that when they did not play in actual game parameters.

Does anyone know if UAB played Mississippi State in an actual 40 minute game or did they do something similar?

I think that we've heard nothing other than Goodman's tweet is telling. I bet it was formatted irregularly like Memphis v GaTech. He is tweeting out a product. Pro Ben Howland is retweetable.

They are about to give up 100+ points to D2 Indy.

@AuburnMBB: Points in the paint: Auburn 46-26 & Jordon Granger 3 gives Tigers 93-91 lead with 3:20 left

TJ Lang - who is supposedly out for a knee injury - played 9 minutes today.
Dunans, Spencer, Canty, Bowers, Harris had just about all of the minutes. It didn't look like CBP was experimenting with different line-ups. Looks like he was fighting to stay in the game.
