At MD when they throw oranges onto the field, they are stuffed with D batteries. The only place and fans worse than MD/WVA/SC are Philadelphia Eagles. I would not go to Morgantown, Columbia, or College Park without a weapon, at least two rolls of quarters inside a double athletic sock.

My daughter tried to pick a fight at UNC with a UNC playing the role as NC State heckler when she was about 10 years old, the light blue drunks were so mild manner they apologized for their own heckler. At WF, you can trust Deacons to watch your kids while you go to the bathroom.

Most State fans are always courteous at Carter Finley with the exception of the reception given to ECU fans, some UNC fans, and once in while to particularly mouthy Clemson or FSU fans. If you could not perceive color and the parking lots were not so radically different you would have a difficult time distinguishing from Clemson and NC State fans prior to the game. But a lot of it is the nature of the intuitions, hence the confusion you might feel if you pulled a drunk and then could not tell if you were in Chapel Hill or Charlottesville.

You might have the same confusion between Blacksburg and Clemson.

I will say that last year my husband had to step in to prevent a fight in the stands between a Clemson fan and a Wake fan. Strangest thing I've ever seen at BB&T Field.

As bad as some fanbases are, you can always find good people. You can always find obnoxious people in your own fanbase as well.

Contrary to popular opinion, I actually had a nice time in Morgantown. Not one couch was burned, even for a late evening game.
