RE: Bowl projections after Week 8
Playing possibly unranked, top-25 Toledo >>>> playing someone like ECU.
Only bad thing about GoDaddy bowl is timing. I'm almost positive I would be there, but 2 days before Christmas is tough. Would leave most of our fanbase making a long haul back on Christmas Eve.

More parades, moon pies, shrimp and oysters for us after the Mountaineers tell 'em it sucks and go begrudgingly.
I don't think it's apathy, but some of our fans may have a preference for other bowls. What is wrong with that?
Besides, most of the "hate" has been towards the Montgomery Bowl, not the GoDaddy.
I guarantee we'll be thrilled with and will travel no matter where we go, but I don't see anything wrong with preferring NO with CUSA or Orlando with AAC. They're just "sexier" locations.
Also, moon pies suck.

No, not really. I hate losing to them but respect their program. The bigger question is, why is a gast fan poking around a thread about bowl selections?

The apathy probably lies more with the date than the bowl.
I'd rank the bowls as such:
Competition: Go Daddy, Cure, NO, Camellia
Location: Orlando (due to kids), NO, Mobile, Mont
Date: Go Daddy last
Combined ranking: Cure, NO, Go Daddy, Camellia
My biggest concern with Go Daddy is how many App fans show up for our first bowl game which will be critical to getting a bowl slot should we finish 6-6 down the line.

Not really. I think it's humorous they had to go through us to get them.
We got votes last year as well. We just aren't on the same level we were even as close as last year. We'll get back there though.
Why is it humorous? It makes sense to me. We convincingly beat your team. A team that had been undefeated in the Sun Belt up until last Thursday. You were the cream of the crop, the top dog. The game just proved to all the doubters that our 6-1 record is legit. The hard part now begins, in that we have to go out and handle business as the expected favorites just as you have done for a season and a half. We're now currently the team with the target on our backs. GaSo is still a very, very good team. It wasn't so much you guys not being as good as last season as much as us improving.
I disagree. App is definitely better but our 2015 is one dimensional. We could throw the ball in 2014. We have played two decent defenses and we were exposed. WVU isnt even that good. Until we learn to pass, we will get beat by quality opponents. I wouldn't crown app the champs just yet, stAte will be a tough game for them, even if in Boone.

Agree, right now we're crowing a little bit, but we have some really tough games coming up, one bad half and we will lose, will be really interesting to see how we handle being the team with the target on its back.

With Ark St's quick strike offense a bad quarter could be trouble.
It will be interesting to see how far Troy's O has come this week.
