..and it begins. If we were somehow to go undefeated we would be the debate of college football this year....as far as making the playoffs. Our SOS isn't like Boise State those years. It's legit. It will be about 35 or so..better than more than half of power 5 schools.

If Temple can pull off the W against ND...and if Temple, Houston, and Navy go unscathed (except against us...and Houston and Navy play too)...then we have a shot. Even then, we'll need some help. We can't leave them any reason to deny us.

Hell, TCU and Baylor wound up in the outside last year. We have to be more compelling than that to have a shot. If course I hope so, but I won't let that dictate my feelings on the season.

It's either good or bad that we play both Temple and Houston, and they dont play each other. Strengthens our SOS, but the three game stretch starting with Navy, is a murderers row, relative to our upstart situation

It will be a legitimate issue folks if we somehow end up undefeated and Temple , Houston, Navy win most of their games left except for us beating them. SOS, # of teams we beat that are rank will be legitimate arguments to why not memphis?

This is fun and the buzz is real and deserved. But if we lose a couple and go 10-2, miss the AAC title and go to the Boca Raton or Birmingham bowl, this has still been a FANTASTIC year.

ECU is going to upset Temple at home this Thursday night.

Personally, I wouldn't view that as a big upset. ECU is playing well and will be tough to beat at home.
