Eastern is probably going to get thumped 3 more times this year. I don't know if EMU has ever been less competitive with both CMU and WMU than we are right now.
If you take your personal bias out and just look at resumes, obviously Ron English is a better coach. One guy was the DC at Michigan (back when they were really good) and Louisville, the other coached in a non-scholarship league...one guy got results "on the field" the other has been blown out just about every game he has coached at EMU and has 2 DI FBS victories...I don't know how you could look at it objectively and say Creighton is the better coach! I really don't.
Will he eventually? It is impossible to tell. English lost his poise in his last 2 years. I think the EMU job can grind anyone down. Losing and losing big is no fun. Not having a fan base is no fun. Playing in a gray, empty stadium is no fun--especially when the 'best' stadium (in many people's opinion-not mine) is 7 miles down the road. EMU football is the toughest job in all of sports.
Bob here's Genyk's last roster, he hardly left the cupboard bare with players like Schmitt, Priest and Holtzclaw.

But keep on defending English and ignoring facts. English left CC with no proven QB and despite his purported defensive genius didn't leave much on defense.
emu79 I'm sure you're 100% correct in everything you present to Bob. Please do the board a favor and don't even engage this troll (even with facts, especially about that loser English) in hopes that he will get the hint, and spend his last days on a UM board.
Appreciate what you bring to the board.
Thanks

My last days? Sounds ominous. And again, I like MSU, not U-M. I expect Creighton blowout loss #13 on Thursday. Hope you enjoy it since you like Chris so much!

I'll be there with 9 others to enjoy every minute of it, win or lose.
Proud to have Chris as the leader of the program, as all EMU fans and alums should be.
