Nope, comparison of coaches and one is doing much better.
Also forgot for Fuente:
Signature win? Check.
Top 25 ranking? Check.
I think that's the textbook definition of beating a dead horse. No one has ever denied that there are better coaches in the FBS than Bailiff, so continually pointing that out, in threads not dedicated to that topic is kind of beating a dead horse.
The point Antarius made above was that by Year 3 in a new coaching regime Memphis was becoming dominant and by Year 4 it would meet each of the Rice AD's listed football targets (Top 25, signature win, etc.).
Yet, at Rice the opposite is occurring after 9 years. It can be done.

Oh hell, same difference. Still beating a dead horse, because this argument is literally taking over every thread.
The title of this thread is not: other coaches winning big games in Year 3 or 4. I like tangents, but when they consistently circle back to why Bailiff is not the coach for Rice, it gets old.
But good for Memphis for finding a coach who might make some waves.
New Zealand 62, France 13, 5 minutes to go. ETA: Now final.
South Africa defeated Wales 23-19 earlier today.
Half of the semis field would appear to be set for Rugby World Cup.
Ireland-Argentina and Australia-Scotland tomorrow.
Australia should beat Scotland pretty easily, Ireland and Argentina should be pretty evenly matched. Could have all southern hemisphere semi-finals.

If those results are guananteed, you get my vote. how are the other fourth year coaches doing?
Michigan just lost in one of the most heartbreaking fashions.
Punter gets a bad snap and decides to try and kick it instead of cutting his losses. Michigan State is able to cause a fumble and recover it and return it for a TD. Michigan loses.

A key point is that it was the last play of the game

Iron bowl 100+ yard return to end the game with :00 seconds left on a missed FG was pretty crazy.
