Difficult to get Toledo branded merchandise because the fan base is so small. If I recall correctly Texas and OSU sell the most merchandise. Easy to find stuff for those schools, not so much for Toledo.

I still harbor thoughts of giving the Toledo merchandise business another go, perhaps focusing on a handful of quality, custom items.

THEM DON'T BUY ANYTHING, it's our university, if, you don't like it. Find another school to root for, and complain about their prices. Just more bull **** fromm the people who are mad about one thing or another.

So because we have a conversation on a message board about Toledo Rockets gear, we are bad fans and should go find another university to cheer for? Wow.....

General reply about Toledo merchandising...

Some nice stuff - for average guys... How about more "fat guy" options/sizes? I'm a 3X/3XT minimum, every shirt and every brand is different so that size sometimes doesn't cut it... I'd love to buy a "Toledo vs. Everybody" shirt but I see online the biggest size is 2X - I know it won't fit so why even bother?

Get more options for the "Big and Tall" crowd.

Amen. At least when Ranger was in business I could get a shirt that fit. But leave it to some army guy with an ambulance (at the time) to be more capable to clothe the rotund and portly gentlemen than our own esteemed university.

indianasniff is dead on about front license plates. No front plates where I live, but why on Earth would UT ever consider looking beyond their own front porch to market the school. I'd pay for it and rock it, if only I had some way to rock said it...

To FrickerRon - Lighten Up, Francis. UT has always sucked at marketing itself outside of the 43606 ZIP code and it's painfully obvious. I could go online right now and get a big and tall SMU polo and Colorado State front license plate with minimal effort (random schools, but it worked). Fact check that. Last I checked we've been more relevant than both of them in the last 20 years. But, hey, marketing schmarketing.

Tall sizes I think are available if u email them. I emailed once and they had some tall stuff if u ask

That's sort of my issue though. I would gladly support UT directly even knowing that their prices are jacked up. I always assumed that they were. But for many things, it seems like you have to reach around your ass to scratch your elbow to find UT stuff.

I was in Rocky's Locker today and got a couple things. What I want is a new jacket, or coat. Call it what you want. I want one with the Toledo Rocket on the back. The one I have from Steve & Barry's is worn out. You cannot find anything like that. A least I can't. Saw a leather one like that once. It was awesome.

Time Out! Ranger put his money on the line with high quality product without out the cooperation of our university which has a tremendous marketing curriculum. I guess he was ahead of his time. Sorry the university did not see the tremendous upside. That was then, this is now. IMO there is a lot of demand that is exceeding supply. That is what happens when the bandwagon rolls over the horizon. I see Ranger as one fan than was seeing over the horizon.

And I still haven't found the UA polo shirt!

I echo many of the comments already posted. Most of my trips to Rocky's Locker end with me purchasing nothing because of price and selection (lacking). Most of what they have is so random. One of the easiest things they should be able to sell are t-shirts. Many of the designs are boring to just dumb. Keep it simple guys. How about a midnight blue tech shirt with just the UT Rocket logo in Gold? Maybe throw the word Football below it. Then reverse it, Gold Shirt, Midnight Blue Rocket logo. Next up, normal looking Golf Polos. I could go on and on...

JCPenney at the Fallen Timbers has a decent selection of UT gear. I got a nice polyester shirt I use for the gym with the Rocket logo on it. Fairly inexpensive.

When you started out with "We found some very cheap Rockets baby clothes..." I was gonna say "WHAAA? T4C8 had a baby while I was gone????"

I went last week looking for a jacket and/or a full zip hoodie, and their selection on those items is very minimal. They had a new arrivals rack that had an Under Armour pullover sweat shirt that had like a Seattle Seahawks neon green trim all over it and I thought this would be pretty gnarly looking if it was GOLD. But whatever. I ended up getting the Toledo vs. Everybody shirt plus one other t-shirt, and even though the 2nd shirt had half of the plastic price tag holder still in it (likely from the original pre-markup manufacturers' price tag), I'm satisfied with what I paid for it all.

I love the selection in Rocky's Locker, some really sharp gear.

I know a buddy of mine gets a lot of good looking Rocket gear from Meijer.
