Not much respect being shown for a school that's won 3 straight conference regular season championships over the last 3 years. I'm speaking of course, of LA Tech. 05-ban

Exactly:
44-8 conference record over that time period -best in CUSA
30 game home winning streak - longest in CUSA
Wins over Oklahoma, Florida State, Georgia, Texas A&M

Haven't seen any Blazer fans grumble about this.

pet peeve of mine when a team has a couple bad seasons then a good one then fans of that school complain about others

Most are right there with you.

Without the final road trip to Florida, UAB regular season would have been better and the toughest OOC schedule in the conference

137 is about right I would say for us...Lots of question marks, cannot remember a preseason like this one with WKU in which I have no idea what we are going to do and how we are going to look...I figured UAB would be much higher, they return everyone right?

I am not usually a betting man, but I can guarantee that NO Mark Price led team will ever finish that low. No way, no how. We have never finished that low, even during our 5 year prison sentence under Alan Major. I have been very impressed with what Price has assembled in 6 months. I think some of you guys will be very surprised by our team.

I hope that you are right, especially since I re-upped my season tickets this week. However, there is nothing out there that says Price will right the ship outside of blind optimism.

And his reputation/record in EVERYTHING he has ever done relating to basketball. Also, we have shown historically to be able to compete at a pretty high level (ie.; CUSA 1.0) as a program.

I don't doubt that Price will get Charlotte back on track. It might take a couple of seasons, but I think he will prove to have been a very good hire.

We were an absolute dumpster fire for the past two seasons. The only reason Heroin won is because they were someone else's recruits. D'Antoni had to clean out the closet and is now rebuilding the program for success. Don't be surprised to see brother Mike involved with Herd basketball in the near future (or Herd athletics in general).

I think we'll finish higher than expected, but that's just my two cents.

Exactly right ,518. If a WKU fans says they know what to expect they are lying.

I don't expect Charlotte to be bad for long, and Southern Miss and Louisiana Tech have earned built enough sweat equity to be given the benefit of some doubt, and Rice is proving that the right hire can pull a program out of a tailspin in a hurry. But at the same time, seven sub-200 teams is not the stuff of even a quality mid-major conference, much less one that has ambitions of challenging for a top-10 RPI finish and multiple bids more years than not.

Exactly. 04-bow

CUSA's ambition seems removed from the reality of half the conference in the gutter every year and there doesn't seem to be much optimism about the current state of affairs changing. Programs are going to have peaks and valleys because the nature of college athletics is cyclical but that isn't the issue.

I hope you are correct, and I like him as the coach as he has potential. Your "EVERYTHING" comment is not so accurate as he is 0-5 as a head coach with a resignation following the 5th loss. He has zero college head coaching experience which is much different than an NBA assistant experience. I do think this is a much better situation for him here than he had in Australia. The comment in bold has nothing to do with turning around the program, and you should never say that again when talking about how the team will improve. That's like saying we will get better because we went to the final four once in 77. We are on the same side of wanting the team to be back in the spotlight, however. 04-cheers

I disagree....you can't really include a 5-game stint in his resume. That would be like me including a part time job I had when I was 16 and worked 2 days on it..............As for mentioning the history of our program, I disagree about that as well. I think it shows that we have the facilities and fan support to be relevant. Those things are important. Not everyone (especially in CUSA) can say either of those things, much less both.
