LOL. After USC lost last week and everything just fell to pieces yesterday, my gut was just telling me those "final 3" games lost whatever zing they might have had, and ESPN might be scrambling for a Plan D. Then I was thinking "what if someone from CGD is actually reading this board?" I just figured it couldn't hurt to put up every good argument I could conjure. Not saying that had anything at all to do with the outcome, but that's all it was. I was 80% sure they were going to USC. I think the PAC10 ticked ESPN off last night.

PS: If they hadn't come, I'd already decided I was changing my handle.

I don't think this can be overstated. Was watched CGD yesterday and when Herbie went off about it, I was like...oh...ESPN must be PISSED.

We've got to help him out. National exposure and all. Would be a natural fit for a California school. Maybe not wear the hat instead get him a surfboard to carry around.

Then Herbie went off on CGD about how if it weren't for ESPN showing their games, no one outside of the west coast would know anything about the Pac-12 teams, so they should bend the knee because without ESPN, the Pac-12 wouldn't be a national brand. Some heavy paraphrasing obviously, but that was the gist of it. Not sure if other Pac-12 teams had publicly agreed with Petersen's statements.

This is what I have been wondering. It is Bourne's job to get a mention of The new arena fundraising sometime during the 3 hour infomercial for JMU. Put together a snazzy video and grease some palms. Feed content to the ESPN producers and don't just let them come up with what they think should go on air.

Wow. Good find. That string of tweets is as transparent a producer could ever be. Basically it was YSU, Red River, and then likely us. Unreal that twice in three years every coin flip went our way.

There were a lot of "if's" and "what if's", but none materialize in a very good way for anyone but us.

Some sour grapes being expressed on other boards about CGD coming to JMU for a second visit. One NDSU fan wanted to know what JMU has accomplished to deserve the visit. Seriously. I suppose being the defending NC, being undefeated, ranked #1, and posting a nation leading 17 game winning streak isn't what it used to be. I believe the same fan chalked it all up to alum Lee Fitting steering the show to JMU.

It would’ve been an embarrassing look for YSU to have so many ndsu fans there. They may not realize it but a bullet was dodged. NDSU would’ve probably have been extra motivated for it too.

So no usc? Damn that espn anger at the pac12 might just be real if they weren’t ahead of a second fcs game.

He should direct his anger at ysu. I thought the mvfc was rock solid? If so, maybe they shouldn’t have let USD march down the field for a game winning FG.

Fully think we were option D and Utah, Oklahoma, and Youngstown are the reason they had to go outside the top 3 picks. Especially with Lee Fitting confirming if Youngstown hadn't have lost, they would be there.

Can you imagine the number of rapist posters that would have been there?

ESPN didn’t do their homework and realize at least a few ndsu fans would’ve had some “YSU just recruited a rapist” posters. I’m sure they’d prefer to avoid that optic.

Do they still do the afternoon/evening show from campus on Friday? Trying to get a full lineup/times for the bus arrival and Friday show. I can’t recall the times from last time.
