I wonder if it will be as successful and exciting as last time. I was blown away with excitement last time. Last time I came in on Friday to soak it all in. This time, I'll come Saturday and likely won't spend that much time at the event. To be honest it was a bit boring after awhile.

It was a 10 excitement wise for me last time. I'm about 7 on the excitement scale this time. I'm glad it's coming back for prestige. It's just not quite as exciting to me this time as last.

I went the first time our of curiosity. This time I will go out of DUTY to make it even better. Make that your mindset and take some happy pills too. That should work.

That's funny. Their team is 4-1/1-0, 3 pt favorites at rival UNCheat, and in great position to make a meaningless exhibition game this season for the first time since 2011 and they'd rather go to JMU than Chapel Hell to root on their own team? Kinda makes sense I guess.

I just wanted to give a shout out to 91Alum who embodied the "Keep the Faith" about as good as anything I've ever seen on any message board at any time. More specifically, having followed this thread pretty closely over the last 72-96 hours like many others, he always kept the hope up in his posts. Just wanted to give credit where credit is due. Don't see any situation in the near future where CGD comes to ODU or RU. Let them whine & be jealous. My son went to ODU, not much scenery there for a venue anyway.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Whoever is going after the naming rights should definitely see this as an additional opportunity for exposure and pressure to get the deal done.

This is what I have been wondering. It is Bourne's job to get a mention of The new arena fundraising sometime during the 3 hour infomercial for JMU. Put together a snazzy video and grease some palms. Feed content to the ESPN producers and don't just let them come up with what they think should go on air.

I was actually thinking that if JMU's section of the show isn't filled with Coach Houston like when Withers went up there, I think Jeff Bourne should have a big JMU moment up there. Further plans of our basketball arena being unveiled would be big.

LOL. After USC lost last week and everything just fell to pieces yesterday, my gut was just telling me those "final 3" games lost whatever zing they might have had, and ESPN might be scrambling for a Plan D. Then I was thinking "what if someone from CGD is actually reading this board?" I just figured it couldn't hurt to put up every good argument I could conjure. Not saying that had anything at all to do with the outcome, but that's all it was. I was 80% sure they were going to USC. I think the PAC10 ticked ESPN off last night.

PS: If they hadn't come, I'd already decided I was changing my handle.
