Looks like a predominant SDSU crowd, but not very big.

Good crowd. Pleasantly surprised that it is a mostly jackrabbit crowd. ESPN has done some good features around the game too.

Well done by the Jacks. Looked well attended and enthusiastic. Came across very well for GameDay.

The most shocking part of that college game day was how few bison fans showed up. They talked a lot of **** all week and failed to back it up. It’s only a 2h45m drive one way. I thought that was the equivalent of driving to the grocery store to them?

I agree. SDSU showed very well on CGD.

Spot on. Typical Bisonville homers. 43 pages of Game Day Signs thread and I can't recall seeing one of their lame arse ideas.

So....which one of our teams will have to deal with the Jacks in the playoffs?

Assuming JMU wins out, it’ll be us hosting them in the semis. We’re 2 and they’re 3.

Committee will probably prefer to put South Dakota State on our side of the bracket to avoid a rematch vs North Dakota State for the jackrabbits. They’ll make us prove we are better than the MVC teams. I guess that means ND State will have to play a Big Sky team in the semis at the Fargo dome.

What choice does the committee have? There’s no conspiracy here.

JMU and SDSU are clear 2 and 3. The 3 goes to the 2 in the semis. End of story.

Well, I wouldn’t say that it’s a clear order between NDSU and JMU. A reasonable person could argue for either as #1. Not saying I disagree with NDSU being #1 as they are the incumbent.

If SDSU’s QB is out for subsequent games we may see them fade away.

If they were "clear 3" why are they ranked #4 and #5 in the two major polls? Not saying they might not be #3, but I don't think it is apparently clear to most.

I think at this point it is more likely the committee gives them a 4/5 or maybe even 6 seed than a 3 seed, and that’s assuming they win out. There are teams like Weber St and Kennesaw that are undefeated in FCS, and SDSU is not. That will most likely be important to the committee.

If NDSU and JMU win out I think Weber is the most likely #3, and SDSU is the 2nd most likely #3.

I've seen Weber and SDSU this year and prior years. I think they round out the top 4 in my opinion. I've not seen the other schools, but the flash in the pans usually end up being just that. The flash in the pans will provide conversation on the selection show.

Digging up an old thread. Is there any possibility to make it happen for the Marshall game?

It's more likely IMO that App State has a shot at hosting vs JMU, though if they had won the UNC game it would have made their case stronger.

That week is the one where it has been projected CGD is likely to go outside the P5 for games. Still, anything is possible I suppose if Marshall looks good, we find a way to beat App, and the other matchups are lackluster.

RE: College Gameday at JMU?
The Marshall week doesn't currently have any top 25 vs top 25 matchups so that's a good start to making it possible. None of the matchups seem very likely to end up being a couple of top 10 or 15 teams. NDSU has a bye that week so if they decide to go outside the box then the best FCS option won't be an option.

If Marshall is the championship contender they're supposed to be then it looks very possible they could go in to that game with Notre Dame being their only loss. We need to beat App State, but if we're good enough to beat them then we should be good enough that it's possible we'd go in to that game undefeated.

It seems like a long shot but possible, and when you aren't a P5 that's kinda the best you can hope for anyway. If we're undefeated and Marshall's only loss is ND I'd feel pretty damn good about the chances. But of course it's much harder to expect us to be undefeated for a big matchup than it used to be.

Lol, we have 1 game left on the entire schedule I look at as more than a toss-up at best and we're doing the shadow math on how to get CGD. Never change JMU. haha Go Dukes.

If this Marshall-ND result holds up, this might be a thing....

EDIT - Marshall pulls off the upset and beats Notre Dame 26-21. Our game has to now be on the Gameday radar...although there still are a number of weeks to go...

If both JMU and Marshall are undefeated, then yes Gameday will be in Harrisonburg
