The Dukes are hott. People are noticing. I realize we have week 7 to get through so get your butts to Elon if you can, and we'll trust the coaching staff to keep the players focused on taking care of business next week on the road. The rest of us need to be making plans for Homecoming if you haven't already. The Dukes need you on campus and need your loud ass in the stands on Saturday 10/24.

There's no way Homecoming is not a sell out. I know people who haven't been back to campus for years who have bought tickets and made travel plans to be in Harrisonburg for HC weekend. It might be a record setting crowd with good weather. You guys and gals who financed the flyover should get your money's worth for sure. We need to stomp those dirty Richmond spatters so bad. Get on the bandwagon and get behind the team. Dukes.

This is one of the most (if not the most) exciting JMU team I've ever seen. It's something special and the Dukes deserve a sold out BFS.

However I don't have enough faith in our students to fill up their allotted seats. I think we get our biggest crowd of the season with 22,000+ but with the students responsible for about 1/3 of the seats in the stadium, I just don't see a sell out happening.

Looking for (4) tickets to Homecoming, Parking pass would be nice, but not necessary!

So right now looks like there are still quite a few seats open.

I don't disagree with you. I was thinking that ticketing cuts into the student allotment on Family weekend and Homecoming games, but I'm not sure. I would like to seem them cut the student allotment back to something like 5K and sell sell sell the general admission tix for HC.

I would be 100% on board with cutting the student allotment if there was the purchasing ticket demand... but there isn't. So until then, just leave it be.

Not sure how it currently works, but a good compromise would be this: make students request/register for tickets a week or two in advance, and any that aren't claimed become available for sale to the public. Track tickets used, and students who miss more than one game they registered for lose ticket privileges

That is how it happens. Student tickets become available for reservation 2 Mondays in advance (i.e. Richmond was available this past Monday). However the same tickets are available to the general public at the same time. If a student reserves a ticket 3 times during the year and doesn't show, they lose ticket privileges for the rest of the year.
