Arkansas State at South Alabama
Game is Tuesday on ESPN2. First of back to back Tuesday games for AState.

Fredi Knighten is healthy and will be starting at QB for the Red Wolves. It will be his first significant action in a month. Thoughts?

You're right. Now that you mention it, I believe it's in Kenner.

Well, for Troy to win the conference this year, we're going to need some help. #BeatSouth

We might see ASU hit their stride over the next few weeks with Fredi. USA has to contain him and limit McKissic or it will be a long day.

Anxious to see how StAte performs with the QB back. Could be the medicine the Red Wolves need to make a title run.

His running is great. I'm more concerned with his passing. His aim has been off this year.

I know south Al will want to establish the run and hang onto the ball as long as they can

If they can do those 2 things plus force turnovers (which I'm sure astate will) jags will be in prime position

Must win game for either team to be considered a contender this season...

I wouldn't say this is a "must win" game. USA plays both App and GS, so it could control it's destiny even with a loss (if Arkansas State lost a game along the way). Arkansas State doesn't play GS, but there is still a LOT of football to be played for this to be a "must win". If App and GS keep up the pace, then in hindsight it could be. But at this point in the season I wouldn't make this claim.

An interesting early-season match-up to be sure. Any line on the game yet?

Thought I saw somewhere that had the Jags as 2-3 point favorites at home

That would surprise me. We have been looked down on all season and have yet to be a favorite (except for over Gardner Webb). I prefer to remain the underdog.

It looks like the official line opened with USA as a 1 point favorite at home... it's too soon to tell, but it looks like the line will move in heavy favor of ASU.

I agree USA will have other opportunities but I was mainly referring to respect. stAte appears to be down and USA is getting no respect this year so for that reason this seems like a must win to me.
