Cool OT - USA vs Mexico
Winner goes to the confederations cup. Score is 1-1 25 mins in

Someday we will stop playing Mexico in the Rose Bowl. It sounds like we are at Estadio Azteca

RE: OT - USA vs Mexico
Already been a bad day though. The U-23 team lost to Honduras, and that all but guarantees that we won't qualify for the Olympics.

The Confederations Cup bid is hanging in the balance now. 1-1 at halftime, not too shabby.

We came into this day with a chance to make the 2016 Olympics, the 2017 Confederations Cup, and the 2016 Copa America. If we lose tonight, that will mean that only the third tournament will remain on the table for us realistically, and even that one is far from set in stone.

The upshot is that losing tonight would now be pretty disastrous for us. Here's to a great second half for US Soccer.

2-1 Mexico now.

Deserved. We've regressed; the Mexicans, even with their astonishing luck in the Gold Cup, have a demonstrably better team.

My loyalty aside, I'm surprised how badly the USMNT has looked.

!!!

2-2

Just a couple of minutes ago, I thought to myself, "If we pull this out, it will be because of Cameron, Yedlin, and Wood." Those are the only three players with anything really left in the tank for us.

Bobby Wood has been the find of 2015 for the US, no question.

Wood looks inspired. The US needs to go for it here.

If Mexico ends up loosing it's because they can't take advantage of the opportunities they had.

Our defense is crap. I don't know if I'm talking about the US back line or Rice football.
