ESPN seems to like Fargo to keep going back there especially on the day of the Homecoming game against Northern Iowa.

Sports Center now goes on the road? So much for ESPN needing to tighten its belt for budget reasons.

They were at St John's in Minnesota a couple weeks ago, for a DIII rivalry game in the MIAC conference, which drew over 16 thousand.

This is actually a downgrade for Fargo. It has had Gameday shoot there the last two years.

I wonder if my nephew's in-laws will be there? They went to Northern Iowa, and live outside of Fargo.

I'll have to keep an eye on their facebook page to find out.

So in another thread, state the NDSU's Prez drive for AAU status in five years is a ruse to change conferences. I guess that is hate language too, as bison fans are delusional enough that AAU is possible in five years.

Standard procedure for calling a UND Fan hateful. That's what NDSU fans do. Even their football players yell "Sioux Suck S*it" after they win those championships, even though the game hadn't been played in a decade.

Even I will say that AAU is not going to happen. There are many schools well ahead of NDSU that would deserve it first.

Federal research dollars are not growing much if at all, and might even be shrinking. NDSU would have to pull substantial grant wins away from Minnesota and Wisconsin to even have a chance. Not gonna happen, other than in areas like agriculture, perhaps.

Because research and by extension research grants further society as a whole, especially medical.
