Quote:Job title:
Engineering Manager

How do you describe what you do for Dana to someone not familiar with our company?
I gather information about our customers' needs (in the form of specifications and standards) and then work with various cross-functional groups within Dana to design, test, and build cutting edge products that fulfill those needs.

Where are you located?
Maumee, Ohio, United States

How long have you been with the company?
10 years

What is your favorite thing about working at Dana?
The people I'm fortunate enough to work and interact with on a daily basis. Working in the competitive automotive industry clearly has its challenges, but there's something to be said when you're part of a team in which everyone is working towards the same collective goal, and together preserving Dana's legacy as a world-class organization.

Where were you born?
Plymouth, England

What are your favorite hobbies?
Working out, staying active, and travelling

If you could take a trip anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Maldives, Rio de Janeiro, or Sydney, Australia

What are you reading? Or, what was the last book you read?
"How To Win Friends and Influence People," by Dale Carnegie

What is your favorite food?
Any Italian or Mexican cuisine

If you could take one day and do anything with no monetary limitations, what would it be?
I would start a national scholarship fund to encourage more underrepresented minorities groups to enter fields such as science, mathematics, or engineering.

What is one goal you would like to accomplish during the next 12 months?
I hope to have secured the business for two of the major driveshaft programs that we're currently quoting to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

IIRC as a freshman Ofili was one of those D linemen that routinely rotated into the game without any drop off in effectiveness on that 2000 Rocket defensive line.

That 2000 team had a great defense and it is great to see that this year defense is back with a vengeance at UT.

..and IIRC, Ofili was the one who got the sack of the Penn St QB, when the TV cameras showed Stutz pumping his fists in the press box.

The evening they beat Penn State, I had a celebratory meal at the on campus Wendy's (I know - I really knew how to party). As I was walking down the sidewalk from Parks Tower down the hill, I saw Ofili coming up the other direction... I said to him "Hell of a job kid - great game!" and he replied with a smile and simple "Thanks man!"...

One of those moments you remember for some reason, even 15 years later. Nice to see he's doing so well.

Wendy's.... mmmmmmm....

Spent a lot of time in Plymouth, England. Loved that place. Downtown area felt like you stepping back into the 19th century. Kept expecting to see Ebenezer Scrooge walking down the street while everyone was huddled over some authentic fish and chips wrapped up in a what resembled a newspaper..
