AAC Championship Game
Curious...what decides the location of the AAC title game? Is it overall conference record? Let's say one team from the East and one from the West has identical 7-1 records, what are the tie-breakers to decide who hosts?

RE: AAC Championship Game
Good question. I noticed it was Sat Dec 5.....same day as St. Jude Marathon. They reported that in an AAC commercial.

Everything you wanted to know...

4. CHAMPIONSHIP HOST DETERMINATION
The Championship Game shall be played at the home venue of the Division Champion with best overall record in all regular season conference games only.

4.1. If the host team is unable to host the championship game the other Division Champion shall be declared the host team.
4.2. The following tie-breaker procedure is used to determine the host location for the American Athletic Conference Football Championship game:
4.2.1. Head to head result between tied teams;
4.2.2. If still tied: Overall record in all regular season games.
4.2.3. If still tied: If one team was ranked ahead of the other team in the CFP Selection Committee ranking and wins in the final weekend of the regular season, they will be declared the division champion. If, in that same scenario, the team that was the highest‐ranked in the CFP poll loses in the final weekend of the regular season, a composite of selected computer rankings following the games after the final weekend of the regular season will be used to determine the host team.
4.2.3.1. If no American teams are ranked in the latest available CFP Selection Committee poll, a composite of selected computer rankings following the games after the final weekend of the regular season will be used to determine the host team;
4.2.4. If still tied: record against common Conference opponents;
4.2.5. If still tied: Coin Toss

Head to head record is first tie breaker.

Head to head record is first tie breaker.

Overall conference record first and then field availability and then the tiebreakers. Highest ranked is 6th.

I think 4.2.4 should be ahead of freakin' commitee rankings and computer rankings.
