RE: Villanova
Been on vacation this week. The passing numbers from Delaware were terrifying:

Standard downs: 5-11, 118 yards, 1 TD, 3 1st downs, 1 sack
Passing downs: 3-10, 50 yards, 3 1st downs

If you want to be optimistic, 7 of Cluley's 8 completions were for 1st downs/TDs and only one sack the entire game. If you want to be pessimistic, there's everything else.

For the season:

Standard downs: 38-60, 489 yards, 63% completion, 8.15 YPA, 4 TD, 0 INT, 14 1st downs, 5 sacks
Passing downs: 27-56, 359 yards, 48% completion, 6.41 YPA, 3 TD, 1 INT, 12 1st downs, 3 sacks

The two long TD bombs against Lafayette inflate the passing downs YPA. He's still better than last year in passing downs.

Hopefully The Tribe will sustain drives against VU and finish them off with TDs and not FGs. This kicking FG thing has allowed teams to be in the position to win games with late drives,as we have seen . The UD game was so reminiscent of last year...nice drives that stall around the 25-30 with suspect play calling and then a FG . We kick off and all too often we give a TD . It also, may help if The D made a big play and stopped one of these late drives.

With our history playing at VU and how coach Talley has been able to find ways to beat us, makes me quite pessimistic of bring home a W back to Th'Burg....but it can happen. We have seen some surprises this year with young guys stepping up and making plays and some clever play calling, so The Tribe can pull of the Win, just not like we played in Newark

You have to have good defensive play calling to accomplish this-not the flex crap that allows people to walk down the field & hope to stop inside the 20 03-banghead
