Like I said, we couldn't stop two top 10 passing offenses.

USF is bottom ranking passing offense.

We didn't have any problem stopping Kansas after figuring it out.

We'll have trouble stopping any team that can can pass the ball.

RE: Strong test
USF has a very talented defense, we will have to grind out drives in this game. We can not have penalties or turn it over.

Why does everyone keep saying this...

By looking at their stats...

BGSU held Maryland to 341 yards and We know how fast they play and also know what we did to that defense.

USF held Maryland to 411 yards...

Their stats are skewed because they have only played 3 games and held a Florida A&M team to 186 yards.

Their passing stats look good because why in the world would FSU throw the ball when FSU was averaging 6 yards a carry on 46 attempts

I agree.

You do have a team coming off a bye week, at home, on ESPN, etc.

It's a challenge, but folks are shell shocked by the BG and UC games when they shouldn't really be - two top 10 passing offenses...and the Tigers still won the games.

I've had a feeling for days this one is gonna be way bigger than a ten point tiger win.

RE: Strong test
USF's Defense and Offense doesn't worry me. It is Memphis' Defense that worries me. They have no sense of passing coverage. And, the defensive line is almost as porous to the run at times. If Memphis' defense can improve some, and not allow so many easy catches and long runs, Memphis will have a good chance.

I guess some are concerned that maybe those two teams are top 10 because they played our defense haha. Here's hoping that you are right and our D can regain a little swagger.

I think Lynch is up to the test. He has had to read the defense on the fly in the Memphis system.

Dropping 5 is normal balanced coverage. I think you mean if they drop 8.

Yeah, I'm just too lazy to fix it. I should've said if they drop the linebackers into coverage, but...meh.

If they drop eight consistently, our running backs will get very familiar with the second level.

RE: Strong test
Elliott missed a routine FG and the last TD was garbage after the 4th and forever heave into pass interference. Should've won by 14 at the very least.

Tigers pretty much owned the second half.

It as a closer first half though.

We won by 7, but could have easily won by 21.

We quit trying to score and became conservative...

Got up 14 and did not throw the ball the remainder of the game.

If USF is scoring we would have scored more points and gained more yards.
