Ball state game TV???
I know it is on ASN (American Sports Network). But what channels does that convert to? Their wiki page doesnt say anything in Ohio. Will bars carry it? Espn3 also picked up the game but my family doesnt want to watch the game via computer.

It always seems like BSU is the deadzone when it comes to telivised games. Get with the times!!!

RE: Ball state game TV???
I am not the most computer savvy guy, but I have my tv attached as a second monitor to my computer. It just takes a couple clicks and my tv screen gets the same screen as my computer monitor. Anything on ESPN3 then is available on my tv. It cost me a service call to a local company to get it set up, but it was well worth it.

If you have an XBOX in your family, there is an app you can use to watch ESPN3. I haven't tried lately, but it worked great last time I used it.

AppleTV for the win. 99 bucks and you have anything on the ESPN networks streamed crystal clear. (Works the same as the Xbox app as well)

Chromecast works great also. Most anything that you can stream on your phone, tablet or laptop you can toss to your TV. I think they are going for around $30 now.

Only problem with this is that ESPN is very strict with the WatchESPN app and what ISP's are supported. I have Buckeye as my ISP, but I don't get cable TV from them. I can watch ESPN3 on my PC and on the XBOX just fine, but when I try to watch the same ESPN stream on my phone or tablets via their app it won't allow it, even after I sign in to Buckeye successfully. I get the "You are not authorized..." message. BS if you ask me.

Do you get ESPN no matter what or you still have to have cable? I just bought an AppleTV recently, but havent ventured to see ESPN because I assumed I couldn't access it.

DON'T DO IT!

I tried it and it summoned up a hologram of Joe Namath trying to get me to give him a kiss!

games on espn3 require you to have an internet subscription through a provider that provides espn3. Games that are on espn/2/u require an actual cable tv subscription.

I absolutely love this, because even though i have a tv subscription, i have a two tv setup that allows me to have the cable in one tv and use the appletv for the other so i do not have to pay for an extra cable box each month

With the Chrome Cast, you would start the program on your computer or tablet etc. in you chrome browser. You don't need to use the ESPN APP, just Chrome. Go to the ESPN3.com page and start the game feed, then you simply click on the cast button and it sends the video and audio to the TV your chrome cast is running on. If you on your WiFi, the signal then goes through your WiFi to the Chrome cast device. I can start a cast from my phone, tablet or laptop and send it to either of my two Chrome Cast devices, no problems. The setup is very easy.

Not sure about BCN, but I have Dish and a local Cable company, both have subscriptions to ESPN3. You may need to enter your username and password for the service provider that has your subscription to ESPN3 if your computer, tablet or phone don't auto detect them.

You need to have a service provider with a subscription to ESPN3 to get the ESPN 3 content. There is a huge list of companies that do have subscriptions. You may need to know you ISP login.

Anyone can see ESPN3 (aka WatchESPN) games that are Not televised on any of the ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPN-Classic/SEC-Network stations.

Mostly just MAC/FCS/Sun-Belt games or big games that are aired on ABC-only (and not also aired on ESPN/2).

You DON'T need a cable subscription to any ESPN channels to see a game. It just restricts it seeing it live if they are on any of their cable stations in any part of the country. Good news is, you can watch recorded versions the next day for free on any game thru it no matter what.

You can install Kodi (aka XBMC) on a small computer, laptop, or even a $100 Amazon Fire HD box connected to your TV to watch ESPN3 games, B10 Channel in HD (thru NaviX app within), along with tons o porn and TV shows. Add to it that you can also get streaming channels of ESPN/ESPN2 in fuzzy quality thru NaviX within Kodi/XBMC.

http://firstrowsportes.eu/ --> That will always let you see ANY game, albeit in poor/fuzzy quality usually.

I would start getting it set up as soon as possible. You have to have access to ESPN3, then your Wi-Fi gets picked up by Apple TV and you have to have the Apple TV set up as well with an account. I'm all set now and tomorrow I am going to get it set up so I can pick it up on the 4K in the basement. Also have a 65 inch 3D smart TV in the basement on the other side of the room just remodeled. I want to find a way to capture the game on a disk and then replay it so it streams better. The picture wasn't bad last week, but not great. WOW just upgraded my internet to 50/5 mbps so the streaming is decent. Better than on the computer monitor I have...much better.

Connect a HDMI cable from a laptop to a HDMI port on your TV and you can watch the game on the big screen. This is what I typically do each week.
