Has anyone heard from UCF about this yet? As a season ticket holder, I know I would be quite upset if they offered the primo club seats to non-holders before their current season ticket holders..... 05-mafia

UCF kicks off club-seat pre-sales

There is no official event regarding UCF's proposed on-campus football stadium until a final public hearing Nov. 9, but that doesn't mean nothing is being done before then.

In addition to having selected a design and build team (360 Architecture, Dant Clayton and Wharton-Smith), the school has picked a financial adviser (Dunlap & Associates), UCF Athletic Director Steve Orsini said. It also is seeking a team of underwriters for an expected $50 million project.

"These are all steps that will have to take place at some point. We decided let's keep moving forward," Orsini said. "If it is approved, we want to hit the ground running."

One piece of work that has stopped is the pre-sale of luxury suites. Fourteen of the 20 are committed, Orsini said, and nearly a dozen other donors have interest in the other six.

The Golden Knights Club and the UCF Foundation have moved on to pre-selling club seats. They recently mailed out inquiries about the seats.

Immediately after the public hearing, trustees could vote to add the stadium to the school's all-important master plan.

A second vote would have to be held to actually approve the building of the stadium.
