My predicition,

FAU win vs BYE buy still has turnoveritis, giving up the ball 5 times.

It's been so long since we've been considered such a big favorite to win against a D1 team it actually feels good again. Hopefully the team and fans do their respective parts.

There's no way we lose to Vandy. It is not going to happen. Nope. Nuh-uh.

Experience has shown that conference games are more difficult to pick on a consistent basis, so let's see how we can adapt to games within C-USA. Good luck to all. It's still a tight race at the top! FAU has a bye, this week.

No odds available at this writing.

Friday, October 2
Temple @ Charlotte; 7:00 pm, ET; CBSSN

Saturday, October 3
FIU @ UMass; 3:00 pm, ET;ESPN3
ODU @ Marshall; 3:30 pm, ET; ASN
Western Kentucky @ Rice; 3:30 pm, ET; FSN

Louisiana-Lafayette @ LaTech; 7:00 pm, ET; ASN
UTSA @ UTEP; 8:00 pm, ET; No TV Scheduled

Saturday: FIU by 7, Marshall by 7, WKU by 6, MT by 1, Southern Miss by 10, Tossup for La-La and La Tech (man, that reads like it's gonna be an electric game, should be a ton of Ragin Cajuns up in Ruston for that one), UTSA by 1 over UTEP. Have At Thee, Conference USA!

Temple. Charlotte playing their third string qb while missing their two best OL's. Gonna be a long night.

FIU blowout
Marshall
Western Kentucky not sold on this one
Middle Tennessee my local State Farm agent told me Middle would win
Southern Miss besides temple, my most confident pick
LaTech
UTSA Coinflip

Friday, October 2
Temple @ Charlotte: Will quite likely be closer than ODU/App State, but it's still an easy win.

Saturday, October 3
FIU @ UMass: The Panthers roll.
ODU @ Marshall: Enough said.
Western Kentucky @ Rice: Perhaps the best game of the week, but Doughty goes wild.
Vanderbilt @ Middle Tennessee: This is my upset special.
North Texas @ Southern Miss: Clash of Eagles, but the Golden of the species wins going away.
Louisiana-Lafayette @ LaTech: Who let the Dogs out!
UTSA @ UTEP: Miners stake their claim in a clash for Texas bragging rights.

RE: Lines in the Sand (C-USA)- Week 5
Should be an interesting week for sure. Marshall is not close to the team it was last year. Injuries have killed us and now having a Freshmen at QB compounds the issue. Hopefully we can continue to improve and make a bowl game. League title is pretty much a stretch at this point. WKU, MT and Rice and La Tech have that locked down I think.

I tell ya, USM looks to be an early favorite for 2016. jmo.

I saw UMASS favored over FIU. Is that right?

That's where the money is going. FIU started out as -3.5 point favorite, now FIU is
+3 underdog

Upset- I think Rice will come away with a win, considering how WKU has played on the road this year

I like the way basketball brackets are setup with extra points given for picking an upset. There really should be an extra point given for picking an upset over a -6 favorite

Only reason is because UMass played ND "tough" in the first half.

Well, it might not be such a big surprise if UMass beats FIU! Interesting.

Yeah right! We're 1-1 with a win at Vandy and a loss at Indiana. A lot to be gleaned from that! 01-wingedeagle

There is if you look beyond the W-L and watched both of those games. Vandy literally gift wrapped that win for WKU and dominated statistically.

In the Indiana game, it was evident that without Leon Allen it is going to put extra pressure on Doughty and the WKU passing game

Progress... I'll believe FIU is greatly improved when I see it. Beat up on UMASS and I'll be more apt to believe it!

I thought every one of Charlotte's QBs is a third string?
