I wonder if he has inside info on that starting lineup, or if it is just a guess. I would not doubt but what he is right.

It's one possible starting lineup. With Coach Beard, starting lineups are not as important as winning......!!!! Bench play is even more important, which led to his success at Angelo State University.

It WILL be one interesting and EXCITING year..............02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana02-13-banana

Whoever wrote this article don't know much about our basketball team. At the bottom of the article where they put Significant players returning from last year, Mareik was never mentioned. He may not be mentioned now but this will be the year where he will prove that he is one of the best players and shooters in the country.

Starting Lineup:
Josh
Jermaine
Jalen (don't count Stetson out)
Mareik
Lish

Didn't see Mo's name listed. That's a big omission.

I notice that in the excitement about the new coach and players, the returning players have tended to be overlooked. Not right, but a little understandable. But whatever the returning players did, they did at the Belt level. The others' numbers were done at a lower level.

I doubt even Coach Beard know his starting lineup at this time. I think Mr. Basketball reported that Coach Beard usually waits awhile to determine that, based upon how players perform in early games. That makes sense with a new coach and a lot of players who are new to the coach. It will be exciting to see our new players perform, and see how our returnees have improved. One interesting comment in the article said they didn't understand why Josh and Roger didn't start last season.
Many of us questioned the utilization of personnel. And especially substitution patterns. Hopefully our new coach's system will make more sense.

I don't know what he was talking about regarding Roger Woods. He started 26 games last season, more than any other player.

But he was right about Josh, who started only eight.

A couple of things I found on this site. First, Lehigh's Tim Kempton was the POY in the Patriot League last season, and returns for his junior season at Lehigh. Old-timers will remember his dad in The Game back in 1986.

Also, they pick Porter's Loyola Ramblers to be 4th. Says he has four starters returning from the CBI championship team.
