I have a similar issue with those who attempt to argue that the fate of the game came down to a single play or blown call from the officiating crew... The game was not lost on a single play or moment; it was lost through the culmination of A LOT of little factors. Convert just twice from inside the "red zone," instead of hitting FG's...we win. Stop Memphis just twice instead of surrendering 60+ yards plays...we win. Etc...

Niether of these games were really "snatched" from us as time expired.

I believe there were 11 lead changes in the UC / Memphis game last night. We were only playing from behind as time winded down because of an atrocious overturned call. Seriously...there was enough to call it a fumble even if he was called down on the field. You can clearly see both knees up as the ball comes out.

First, I agree that we got hosed on the fumble call. Really.

Second, when we did "get the lead" we surrendered it so quickly that it still felt like we were playing from behind. We never had a lead that was secure... Hell, go back and look at the conversation when we were tied up there... "Pray for overtime" I remember someone saying last night. The Defense was so bad that it was just assumed that Memphis WOULD score, so that even when we were even or slightly ahead, we were in "catch up" mode.

But what's the point of arguing.

Disagree on tryng to lure Strong away from Texas. I'm not big on getting other schools sloppy seconds, it never seems to work (see current head coach).

There are plenty of of better canidates that are making their way up the ladder.

Would you rather screw the girl who just got hot (boobs grew in, braces off, proactiv) knowing that she'll keep getting hotter but end up leaving you for the douche bag rich guy with a BMW; or you can try to hook up with the girl who got passed around the frat house like a cheese tray, only to be given the walk of shame out the back door.

It's too expensive. He's got this year and 2 more unless he wins 2 games or has a scandal.

Two wins would be a scandal.

Heck, I think 6 wins would be a scandal with this team and schedule.

Would be a scandal, however we are trending in that direction.

I understand some are tired of hearing a portion of us express our dissatisfaction. Looking at the talent on this year's team, coupled with the schedule, the ceiling was high. I have seen too much of the same behaviors, over three years, to think this year is an aberration. My personal expectations are for this program to get back to the teams of 2007-2009 or even 2011. We are, so far, looking to be trending in the opposite direction. I sincerely hope I am wrong. As with any good game coach, I too must make some in game adjustments - my 10 win expectations have dwindled to hoping we win 6-7.

We are trending terribly. That said, we've seen the D get better before. If that happens, we could win 8 or possibly 9 games (that would be a miracle).

When there's nothing I can do about a situation, I wait and see and hope for the best.
