The announcer and band were stepping on each other in the first Q but seemed to synch up a bit so that the EDO ended and was followed by a UT.

I prefer the EDO because from where I sit, I can hear the whole crowd say it. The call and response amongst the crowd doesn't reach me. Couldn't barely hear it when standing in the S end zone. Would be cool if the whole stadium actually did do it like they do just the EDO.

Never really noticed that the band played every first down before it was mentioned on this thread. What are they playing and what exactly is the fan response to that?

Myself, I find the DOWWWWWWWWWWWWWn thing extremely annoying. I get what he's doing. Announcers do effects like that in arenas. A couple times a game I could hack. But, on every 1st down and opponent's 3rd down...it's gotten to where I say something bad every time he does it. Not a fan of WWF sound effects. Too much of it just sounds silly.

So, I'm kind of coming around to understanding UofToledoFans' point. A lot of things are cool, until they are over-done to the point where you can hardly stand listening to them anymore. Kind of like 'Party in the USA,' you know what I'm sayin'?

Agree 100%. Sounds like a huge cluster f#%k from where we sit. I'm just not a fan of the announcer led cheers, but At least we didn't have to endure the female announcer leading cheers while play was in progress. It all seems so forced its almost embarrassing.

It would be nice to see the west side stands yell TOL, then have the east side yell EDO... just not every single first down. I really miss the "Good enough for another Rocket FIRST DOWN!".
