Some of the comments are ironic in hindsight but gives you a better look... Keep in mind this attached to in door football facility and basketball practice facility.

We didn't really make any. Can't decide which is worse, although I prefer not having a revelation post game and blaming it on equipment/new facility.

On a separate note, can we all agree that whatever network that is airing the Tech game is incredibly worse than WatchESPN in terms of exposure and I mean that channel is flat out busch league. More exposure my ass. I couldn't find the APP-ODU last week some cartoon was on before and then it was a different game.

Very, very nice. Going to make it tough to recruit against that. Congrats Cajuns!

Indeed, and that's the point.

And I agree with swampbear, the comments shouldn't have been made even though there was absolutely truth in what he said. Better to have said, "I didn't have the team prepared, period", and let it go at that.

If in the end if this is Hud's greatest sin, I'll somehow manage to live with it.

Anderson doesn't really blame anyone for losses. He leaves that job for our assistants, who are more "tell it like it is" type guys in press conferences.

That being said, we did not blame the new press box blocking out the wind that might have blown a couple interceptions to our receivers in the Missouri game.

Well, what would you have the man do at this point? I realize that no one here has ever said anything to anyone any time in their lives that they later regretted, but it does happen every once in a while to a few people around the globe. It's never happened to me of course, but I'm god-like much like our posters on this site.

The move and all the hoopla, tours etc surrounding the new facility had to have been a major distraction. I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise. But it most certainly wasn't the reason for our crappy performance against Akron. We should have beaten them and didn't. Blame the coach for not having the team ready to play.

Hopefully the Cajuns will find their way again soon and apply some ass-whippings like they have to many over the last few years. I know I'll feel better.04-cheers

Also it wasn't just the move, he had to discipline a couple guys fir being late to meetings because they were playing x box in the new lounge. He had to discipline a couple for missing class because they were "chillin" in the me APC. He had to start practice over. People often forget, a lot of the are immature kids and most come from minimal means. I said before he probably could have handled it differently by I can see how it was a distraction that he could see from a mile away, I can see how this frustration compounded with a bad loss let his emotions get the best of him 10 minutes after. Apparently some of the team felt the APC would win the games for them. Young people sometimes have to learn the hard way, we are a young team. I think they learned their lesson.

And if they didn't learn it last week, it'll be pounded into them tomorrow evening.

Too bad App opened theirs up when they were still FCS.

Since Marshall wanted to get in on the conversation.

I understand the sarcasm in this, but the SAT tests critical thinking ability. If anyone were to think the facility itself would boost their ability, you have other problems.

The coach has to set limits on what can and cannot be used during certain times, and to claim the facility itself was a distraction, is to avoid culpability in letting it become a distraction. As a coach, you've got to lead, and sometimes that includes setting boundaries.

He did, he moved guys to the old locker room that have to earn the right back in the new one, he disciplined guys, he started practice over. I hope none of you have kids who do stupid sht anyway even though you told them it was stupid. I'm sure none of your kids or yourselves ever learned sht the hard way. This happens to every team all across the country for various reasons. Homecoming, week after a big win, a "subpar" team before a big game, you know, trap games. I think part of what he said he shouldn't have, most of it was taken out of context and he probably regrets letting his emotions get the best of him. HUD has always been pretty straight forward and speaks his mind. This time it looked bad but most people like that about him... He isn't all just coach speak.
