NTR but Syracuse and coach Boeheim are sanctioned. Boeheim is suspended from 9 games next year and Syracuse has 108 games
vacated going back to 2008 for multiple violations. Boeheim says that the punishment is excessive and that Syracuse is being made an example of to prevent cheating by other teams. I don't know why I typed his name as Charley in the headline but probably because it was 5:00 am when I started this post.

I thought they were already sanctioned and Boeheim suspended. Is this over and above that?

Not sure. I think this is the first NCAA ruling on it. They self-sanctioned, or some such nonsense, when they knew they weren't going places anyway.

True...you just need to cheat and not cheat honorably. There's a thin movable line between cheating and not cheating.
