From the second we step out of the car, if not even the approaches (flags from the poles, over the streets...) to the University, the fans should see, hear and smell game-day. Game-day should encourage at least the non-tailgaitors to the stadium area with events and participation, concessions, concerts, street art, musicians, whatever talent the students can provide, interactions with luminaries, hall of famers..... and should get everyone to the stadium for chants, alma-mater... pump-up videos...
Wins don't create fans. Feeling like an owner creates fans.
The experience in Little Rock was really cool. The golf course beside the stadium had probably a couple thousand tents, each with a grill of some sort. I have never seen anything like it. The sight was something to behold, seriously.
I would encourage everyone to take a little weekend trip and attend these games when possible. It is a great experience, and I truly believe it can inspire the players. As we were traveling east on I-30 out of Arkansas Sunday AM, we kept seeing motor home after motor home traveling West. We were perplexed by this, but came to realize it was likely Oklahoma tailgaiters traveling west of Memphis on I-30 after leaving Knoxville earlier that AM. Something fun happens all over the country in the fall. Take part and follow the Rockets!!

a thousand grills. Now that would be a sight. :)
So cool if anyone got photos they can post?
I'd like to see some of the up and coming local companies putting up corporate tents: Marcos, Pro-med.... There's always new firms moving into the area (usually P-Burg), will the University reach out to make connection with them?

I'd say there were more like 10,000 grills........
There was one guy grilling in the back of a pickup on the street in line while waiting to enter the golf course.
