We had a better record than USA, but they went to a bowl game.
We beat stAte, but they went to a bowl game.
Neither of those factors contribute to who is a better team.
Hell, App beat stAte & the Cajuns, but didn't go to a bowl game.
Georgia Southern beat every Sun Belt team they faced and didn't go to a bowl.
(I mention them purely because it shows how going to a bowl doesn't compare to being a good team. Also, so folks didn't think I was using it purely because Texas State didn't go bowling).
Really, the divisions are pretty even, in the matchups most gave, except when it comes to NMSU/Idaho, Georgia State/CCU. I'd actually do closer to a push for NMSU/CCU and then a toss up of Idaho/Georgia State.
Though, right now, the arrow points up for the east there, while the west is at best... neutral.
