This preview, of course, mentions Davis, but I believe Braverman is going to tear up the turf today.

I absolutely hate waiting until 6pm on a Saturday for games.

College Football should be played Saturday afternoons, except in Baton Rouge.

....at least I get to watch the Beavers beat the fighting khakis starting at noon.

Just so you're not surprised when you see it, while our offense shares some of the same option concepts, it looks nothing like Air Force. We are a zone blocking team and use receivers as wingbacks or A-backs. Think Guz Malzhan zone read with some triple option plays. That's what it is supposed to look like anyway, we'll see about today.

Also, it looks as if the rain will clear out of Statesboro well before kick off.

Anyone have any gameday injury updates?

Have to head to my nieces birthday party today, so I'll have to catch the game on ESPN 3 later on. They do provide access to their videos later on, don't they?

My thoughts of this game are:

If Franklin plays, I think he will start out slow, but will break lose for several long runs after Terrell spreads the defense by establishing the passing game. Franklin will finish with over 150 yards. Terrell will finish with over 350 yards passing for the second game in a row.

If Franklin doesn't play, As a team, the Broncos will have a hard time rushing for 150 yards.

The defense will virtually shut down Georgia Southern's passing game, But they will have a difficult time stopping the triple option.

One of the keys in this game is special teams. Souther's kicker was suspended for this game because of a DUI last weekend. Their backup kicker is a 50% kicker of field goals and he is 90% in PAT's made. With our field goal kicker that just about puts us even.

The advantage is in the return game and after watching game film from last week the Eagles have standing orders to kick away from Phillips. But, I think he gets a couple good returns in.

Hopefully these two teams can play a clean game with no injuries. I have a feeling this game is going to be high scoring for both teams, kind of like the Toledo game a few years ago but not as many points as that one,

In Waterloo, IA. Have to listen to the Hawkeyes broadcast. Right now it is all about #9 Tyler Sash and #23 Roy Marble. As Whinny shared with us Marble died this week, but I think Sash's death blindsided everyone in Iowa and in New York City.
