I admit, I think the Vikes are going to get curb stomped by the 'Hawks. But I didn't factor in the weather. If it's as windy as it is cold, that could shut down Seattle's vertical passing game. That's a situation Minny could take advantage of.
I don't think the weather will be a decisive factor. That's overrated, in my opinion. Just because you live here, doesn't mean you're magically adapted to freezing temps. It just means you stay inside all day. Same for oppressive heat.
Both teams will be miserable. And I think both are competent at running the ball.
One thing that's nice for the Vikings is that rematches often give the loser of the first game a better chance to "figure it out".
I think "normal" cold weather you're right. But when it's so abnormal, I do think it gives the advantage to the team that is used to play in it. Also- Look at Seattle. They had 3 road games after the bye. @ Minnesota(40 degrees), @ Baltimore(when things were abnormally warm-72 degrees), and @ Arizona(dome). 2 December home games at 48 and 42 degrees. Meanwhile Minnesota has had just the last 2 weeks games home and @ Green Bay where the game time temp was in the 10-20 range. It takes a while for you to get used to that.
Well, my hypothesis is that there is no such thing as "getting used to it". I don't think humans are capable of getting used to such cold. Yes, they've endured it recently, whereas Seattle has not.
I could be well wrong. But my feeling is that it's effect is exaggerated. The MN players aren't living, breathing and sleeping in the cold 24/7. They live, train and probably practice indoors for most of the time.
yeah I do agree with you on getting used to it. But I do think the fact that the Vikings have endured it recently, while Seattle hasn't even really had a cold weather game- is huge. It's going to take some time to get acclimated to that weather.

I'll take it!
Still really hoping that the game is, at least, nothing like the regular season game a few weeks ago.

I know this. I sure wouldn't want to have had games like what Seattle has had- last 5 being 40,72,48,42, and dome- and then go into a game at 0. I mean, there's no way to really simulate that at all. That's a big part of everything IMO.
