The Ragin Cajun Ale is brand new. Just released to the market Thursday.

The stadium sold out of it in the second quarter.

For those that didn't really read the article...

UL gets paid a percentage for every beer sold because the use of Ragin' Cajun comes by license.

Students designed all of the advertising and promotional materials including, glassware, label and six pack design and the tap pullers.

And the university had some say in the type of beer selected to carry the name.

So it's truly a public/private partnership and what makes what we're doing that much cooler.

Having grown up knowing a few Cajuns, I can only say I'm not surprised. Awesome.

And ours is a good one. I say that because I'm honestly not a fan of Bayou Teche's LA31.

I drank several Eagle Creeks beers in the Club section at Paulson just this past Saturday. GS is now fully accepted in the SBC family.

They should have a Sun Belt beer festival at the forthcoming championship game. Or at the basketball/baseball tournaments.
